The most complete and functional platform I have ever used!

Opmerkingen: It has improved my organization and allows me to establish better relationships with the parents of the students, as they are involved in the training process of their children's school activities and the follow-up we have also been able to verify that the performance of the students has increased. It is a very robust tool, it has allowed us to establish more effective work methodologies and we are pleasantly satisfied with its functionality.

Pluspunten:

Classter is a web system that also has a mobile application (iOS and Android) very robust that allows the management of school computer systems with learning management, additionally allows progress reports, class registration, grade book, online payments, parent portal and monitoring of attendance, on the other hand is very easy to use, does not require a learning curve because it has a very friendly interface. One aspect to highlight is the parent portal, which allows us as teachers to increase communication with parents and student representatives, as well as allowing them to effectively follow up on the school activities that we carry out at the institution.

Minpunten:

I am very satisfied with its operation and efficiency, I have nothing negative to contribute, is an excellent tool.

First Impressions of Classter

Opmerkingen: There have been some hiccups with the learnig process so far, but overall it has been a good experience. Our institutaional needs are very specific, so it is possible that some features are not well suited to our specific needs, and that is not a flaw of Classter as a product.

Pluspunten:

I really like how customizable Classter seems to be. I like that it is possible to have changes made that fit certain institutional needs. I like that entering attendance is very straightforward for teachers, and the grade calculations seem to work well. I like that teachers can link documents to their sessions and assesments, such as lesson plans or materials.

Minpunten:

1. File size limitations: For example: entering student ID photos is difficult and time consuming due to the file size restriction. 2. Usability: It is difficult to understand the language of the platform at times. The distinction between Courses, Classes, and Sessions has been confusing for teachers and admin. 3. Creating Sessions: The process to create sessions is arduous. If a class is changed, or if a teacher joins the team, it is not simple to create all their sessions for them. There should be a way to easily add a "co-teacher" when you are mass-importing sessions. 4. Enrolling Students in their classes/courses: 4.1: Sometimes information does not save the first time. If I change the course status and the registration date and press save, the course status will be saved, but the registration date will NOT be saved. I will have to repest this process until I get the desired result. 4.2: When I attempt to make a change to the course status, I am sometimes unable to do so because of information on the "services" section. These 2 things should not affect one another, for the purposes of our institution.

First steps

Opmerkingen: Once one got into the functioning of the different implemented modules it is a great help in the administration and sharing of different information.

Pluspunten:

It helps do digitalize many administrative tasks, that up till the implementation of Classter were done on paper. Like this we have a better overview of information needed.

Minpunten:

Sometimes it is difficult to implement new modules as there a quite a lot of settings to do and consider.

Opmerkingen: Good, we have been able to get support and assistance when we needed it. We continue to extend our utilization of all of the features that Classter offers.

Too many features and functions

Opmerkingen: The year is off to a great start and students have started learning the basic functions.

Pluspunten:

Ιt is a platoform that will upgrade the possibilities we have as a school. Students will be able to see their courses, their grades and their progress.

Minpunten:

The only negative is that it is a very complex platform that, despite the many features, may confuse students a bit.

In some cases, the user interface needs some tweaking, as the software offers a little too much choice for the end user, which can cause the user to choose the wrong option in some cases. It would be ideal for the user interface to reduce the amount of choice to the user so that the user flows through the system are straightforward.

Opmerkingen: It has been a learning experience. At the beginning it was a challenge to overcome the language barrier and to convey the nature of our business model and the requirements associated with it.
We are a very particular university with a certain complexity that required many hours of work between the teams of both organizations. However, the availability of the Classter team, especially [ Sensitive Content ]
, was exceptional. The Classter team made sure to adjust the system to our need and implement development to make it work for us. There was a lot of patience and flexibility. On the integration issue, it was one of the biggest challenges, especially with electronic invoicing. The Classter team made sure they had a good understanding of what our regulations were in Costa Rica and delivered a custom development that complied with them. But it was a process that took longer than expected. With the development of custom reports, the experience has not been so good, the reports bring many errors and do not work 100%, something is fixed but another problem arises on the other side. Suggestions: Have teams of consultants and support that speak Spanish. The Latin American market is an interesting market and if they want to grow it would be good to consider having Spanish speaking teams. Include in the initial offer more hours of training and develop it under a more formal process, this would avoid many reprocesses or recurring queries from the customer to the classter support team.

Once you have the correct configuration it is easy to manage. The way you have the information organized makes the admission and administration processes much easier.

Minpunten:

The adaptation of the system to the business model of the University was a bit complicated, it seems to me that the system was initially created for schools and not for universities, so sometimes we felt it was a bit rigid and did not fit our business model.

The Classter is Easy and flexible to create invoices and receive payments what we daily use and manage. This made us keep reliable information on our business. Also the Classtter support is very helpful and resolve issues quickly.

Unfortunately Receipts are not able to create as our business needs. This could be improved in the future. However I am satisfy now and am expecting to see the further development in near future.

Pluspunten:

As a school admisnistrator, I appreciate that Classter is comprehensive and can be configured to adapt to our school's structure. It is easy to use. Teachers especially love the gradebook and attendance options.

Minpunten:

While it is comprehensive and functions can be adapted, the changes can be complicated at times.

The customer service is very good and always quick to response. The system is very configurable. The Classter team comes up with ideas to make the system work according to our needs.

Pros and Cons of Classter

Pluspunten:

The software works in a logical manner and is easy to comprehend. The more you sue it the easier it gets. It allows a lot of flexibility when it come to assessments and scheduling .

Minpunten:

Some features need to be automated since in some cases, there are steps that are forgotten such as the updating of a synoptic mark on the grade book. while it is good to give multiple options some should be restricted such as creating an assessment from wither bulk assessment or from assessment scheduling especially since the scheduling section does not take into consideration the overall mark.

The most impactful features of Classter are the paperless admission process, financial management, Mobile App, online academic surveys, and quizzes. The multiple third-party integrations are very useful and make the implementation process very easy and secure.

Minpunten:

I think that the developers can improve the import process.

Dependable software

Opmerkingen: My overall experience has been great! I would definitely recommend this to my team.

This software provided me with very simple and straightforward access to conducting team management and organization.

Overall, it is a great software to use. If it's one thing to fix, I would say the user experience side (design).

Worth investing time to learn

Opmerkingen: I perservered with the software because it offered nearly all the functions I was seeking. I gave up on it once and looked at other products and although some were easier to work with, they lacked features. I gave it another go and decided to stick with it. My level of IT competence is modest. I designed computer based training programs and built a network for running simulation exercises for training emergency services personnel. I taught IT in secondary schools in the UK, 11-18yr groups. I think a better level of competence than what I have is required to effectively manage the implementation of this software in an organisation. Without that level of competency I think training from Classter is essential which greatly increases the cost. In summary, promising, but difficult to deploy.

Pluspunten:

Ability to integrate with Microsoft 365 and Moodle. The range of functions.

Minpunten:

It is necessary to devote a lot of time to learning the product. Customizing terminology is not easy to and the changes you make are not always global, which causes confusion. Too many steps to reveal lists especially users lists. I would prefer sorting commands. When buying any software that Is aimed at businesses that although in the same industry have different requirements broadly connected, the ability of the customer to customize is essential. I would liked to have seen a far better and clearer customization panel. I don’t like the customisation tools in Classter.
