Opmerkingen: Everything related to managing my websites I can now do with Cloudways. They even offer additional services such as 25GB mailboxes. Although more expensive than cPanel-based hosts, this is also way superior... They have other services as well that are super useful and professional. Just way better than anything out there. I tried them.

Pluspunten:

- Easy to use - Much better interface than cPanel (their own system) - Choice between various reputable service providers - Incredible support - Super fast, responsive, truly helpful (most of the time) - Easy to create and manage multiple servers as well as create staging sites across servers - Competitive pricing - Trustworthy service, I never had any downtime. This EASES my mind and releaves stress, knowing that I can trust them with all my client websites.

Minpunten:

Nothing. Seriously. I love everything about Cloudways. Are there ways they could improve? Sure.. I guess. But I can't think of anything right now!

Honestly these guys use to be great however the service is horrendous, outsource, they don't listen and make costly mistakes that bring your website down.

Easy to Use, Powerful To Host (Especially Wordpress)

Somewhat pricey, but they make up for it with the features. Also, not an easy way to deploy Ruby on Rails apps and others.

AVOID Cloudways

Opmerkingen: Wish I could share screenshots here - my experience went from being a #1 fan of Cloudways to sharing all over how terrible they are. I run an agency that has relied on their services for years and they have steadily gotten worse month by month. I have screenshots & documentation from as far back as April reporting server issues. Suddenly performance took a nose dive and support keeps applying "optimizations" to the server which actually make it worse. Each screenshot shows one agent make a fix, followed by another that reverses the change saying it was incorrect, followed by the next redoing the change. This cycle has continued for months now and they refuse to do any real investigation.

Pluspunten:

It was once a great service - the platform itself is easy to use.

Minpunten:

The support and back-end performance. Websites perform terribly, their support system has 0 idea what they are dong when configuring them and often breaks things. They offer no assistance to fix it and leave your server performing terribly.

The worst nightmare of a hosting company

Opmerkingen: My experience with Cloudways was a nightmare. I dealt with 10s of hosting companies and none of them were so careless towards their customers.

Pluspunten:

I liked mostly what is not cloudways' pro but rather digitalocean's. The server performance is good.

Minpunten:

They have the worst customer care in the industry. They automatically remove server AND public IP only after 48 hours without any prior notifications or anything. They are terrible at communicating such a drastic measure they are taking absolutely disregarding how it'll affect the customer. the IP lease cost only $3.60 month. Even keeping this IP for a month for the services you paid them would only cost $3.60... But they decide to release your IP only after 48... They are that cheap!!

Don't use them they don't care!

Pluspunten:

After 2 years of hard work and hundreds of hours spent building my website they deleted it for an unpaid bill of $13!! I tried adding my new card details onto their system but it would not accept it. I then paid the outstanding amount of $13 but it was still deleted and they did not even back my website up so all is lost! I am furious with them and currently seeking legal advice. Do not use them!!!

CLOUDWAYS ARE THIEVES

Pluspunten:

I guess if I owned Cloudways I would like how overpriced they are, because I could just steal customers money and get super rich.

Minpunten:

Following their buyout by DigitalOcean I recieved my first and only phone call from Cloudways, asking if I would like a discount on the next 3 months of hosting. They explained that my site would be migrated from Vultr to DigitalOcean for free, seamlessly and without any issue. The migration was a joke, many of my regular customers got double charged as both servers were running concurrently, issues that took me hours to personally fix! This also hurt my reputation with customers, many refunds had to be given obviously! Then came the real kick. Cloudways DOUBLE CHARGED ME for both servers (the agreement was that I would get 14 days to close my old server without charge, which I did in 7 days). They took money from my account with authorisation. When I asked for a refund they flat out refused and only replied with this "Due to the nature of locked revenue, refunds are not possible". I have contacted them at least 10+ times via email / online chat to try and get this fixed but noone cares. They have said they would call me, they do not. Everything is misdirection and lies. Noone even responsed to my first email for 16 days!...and the service chat people say they are unable to help with billing matters - so I got the full runaround and deflection. Due to the problems with Cloudways I have moved my hosting to another provider where I have a much faster server (and the website is at least 2x faster), and the cost is HALF of what I was paying at Cloudways. If you're considering Cloudways, DON'T DO IT. Look at xCloud (xcloud.host), half the price, double the speed. Cloudways still owe me money but they refuse to refund. I'm now opening a transaction dispute with my bank as it is clearly theft and against the agreement. They are sticking with this "Upon authorizing your credit card on Cloudways, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions for automatic debiting."..... But taking more than agreed from my account is illegal and they need to provide refunds!

I was assigned a blacklisted IP

Unjustified Charges for AutoScale Plan - Request for Refund (Invoice #4112485)

My account is associated with the invoice number #4112485, and upon reviewing my billing statement, I was dismayed to discover that I have been consistently billed for the AutoScale plan, even though my website has not been utilizing any resources that warrant such charges. It is disconcerting that the process for unsubscribing or modifying the subscription plan is not clear, and this lack of transparency has resulted in unwarranted financial implications for me. As a customer, I expect to have a clear and straightforward method for managing my subscription and ensuring that I am only charged for the services I actively use. I kindly request that you investigate this matter promptly and provide a thorough explanation as to why I have been charged for the AutoScale plan despite the absence of resource utilization on my end. Additionally, I am seeking an immediate refund for the charges incurred erroneously. Best of Cloudways

Opmerkingen: Cloudways is the best overseen cloud facilitating administration that offers me the tranquil facilitating experience so I could zero in on my sites' development.

Cloudways gives a quality control board to a cloud server, premium proactive help, and a quick, streamlined WordPress stage at a sensible cost.

I'm totally happy with the cloud server administration with adaptable and versatile highlights.

Impressive platform for Wordpress hosting with pedestrian support

Opmerkingen: I utilized Cloudways for Wordpress + Woocommerce hosting.

Pluspunten:

The idea of a platform that exposes semi-managed hosting on top of multiple providers (DigitalOcean, GCP, AWS, Vultr, Linode, etc) is very impressive and being able to choose and experiment with different underlying providers is quite appealing. The portal they expose is fully custom and has most of what you would want and they provide relatively easy ssh access as well. Their "clone app" feature will copy your production Wordpress site and spin up a new staging site with a few clicks and it does a good job.

Minpunten:

The portal has a very convenient chat feature with the support engineers and for very simple requests/problems that are in their wheelhouse it is a very quick way to get help - however, I found that most of my requests were outside of their support's wheelhouse, so I was consistently let down. This is a managed service so I wasn't coming at them with crazy requests or anything, but sometimes they simple just didn't have enough experience to understand what I was saying and asking for. So frustrating. Also second level support is much, much slower to respond even during an outage. The server configuration did not allow for easy setup of some common tools, one in particular is modern nodejs. After asking 3 different support people for help I concluded it was a futile effort as they didn't really understand. The best I could get was an ancient version of nodejs which didn't fit my requirement.

Good UI and support; but lacks key features

Opmerkingen: Definitely a better option for those who are looking to move from fully managed shared servers. Great 24/7 support team to assist across the way.

Pluspunten:

Easy to use interface, and pretty responsive support team (almost all the time). Definitely a great option for those who aren't well versed with server management. Some notable features that were rolled out on Cloudways include Redis Object Cache Pro, Cloudflare Enterprise Add-on and Safe Updates.

Minpunten:

The stack on Cloudways is a bit dated and does not deliver the kind of real-world results one would expect from an application in 2022 - particularly considering the premium you pay for resources. The Cloudflare Enterprise add-on sounds exciting, the reality is you only get limited configuration options and routing. While Cloudways claims that the agreement with Cloudflare provides access to all 270+ data centres and premium routing, the reality is far from it. None of the Middle East PoPs are available to customers who use the the Cloudflare add-on via Cloudways - and that eventually translates to 1.5s+ TTFB in most regions (except NA and EU).

Very simple to use

Opmerkingen: It's not bad. I'm still with them. The value is just too much of an offer to pass up without considering.

For as long as I can remember, its not been easy to deploy cloud software without having deep knowledge about cloud computing and administration skills. Cloudways takes all those hassles and bundles it into a single web hosing company that provides hosting services from some of the best names in the business. Google, Amazon AWS, Vultr, Linode, and Digital Ocean. I personally use Vultr and its very easy to use and provides great value for the money. Recommended.

Minpunten:

With companies like this, there are a lot of issues. Unlike cpanel/shared hosting where I was coming from I never had to pay for custom emails or backups, they always took care of DNS for me too and I didn't have to pay. On Cloudways you have to pay for all of these, even for offsite backups. However cheap, you still have to pay.

Cloudways Affiliate Program is a SCAM!

Opmerkingen: The Cloudways affiliate program has extremely high payout thresholds which is discouraging for most affiliates. The fact that they don't pay out makes things even worse.

The ease of us of the affiliate program and the single sign on from the console to the affiliate area is user friendly

Minpunten:

Cloudways doesn't actually pay affiliate commission. They just scam you into bringing your clients on board and take your referrals without rewarding. The software tracks fine. I believe it's actually Post Affiliate Pro that Cloudways is using to manage the affiliate program.

Best Hosting site

Opmerkingen: it is mixed experience with Cloudways only if they maintain their support system it become very good for local man like me.

the best host server providing i use since last few years. it it very helpful up-front server setup, integrated robust security and caching tools which make it very user friendly application. its give website migration plugin free which helps to migrate without any technical knowledge.

Opmerkingen: I think CloudWays gives us a very great opportunity for anyone. Every developer and company can only focus their work, there is no server maintenance hassle. Overall it's good for any non-tech person also. I am a big fan of it.

Pluspunten:

All of the most important features are built-in inside Cloudways. PHP Laravel often uses a queue, scheduling job batching, and many things. CloudWays makes it very simple. Just forget about server management hassle and make something interesting.

Minpunten:

I know CloudWays are very awesome but if I like to say the cons of CloudWays, For a beginner it's few costly if he likes to buy a medium-scale server. Their prices are cheaper than others and they give the user a lot of functionality within their lowest budget.

When You Hit Your Limit and Are Ready for Managed Hosting

Cloudways is an easy to work with. I have been using shared server hosting and was ready to move up to VPS hosting. I am not comfortable with setting up my own VPS and Cloudways is a reasonably priced solution.

Minpunten:

This service does not offer free email. They do have an inexpensive add on, Rackspace, if you choose to run your email through Cloudways.

One of the most easiest Manage Cloud Hosting providers

My first introduction to Cloud Hosting, and I loved it

Opmerkingen: I always avoided getting a VPS because I didn't want to deal with the trouble of managing it. Cloudways is a tool that makes it easy to spin up a server at a few different providers, and then give you an interface to manage that server, almost as easy as with cPanel.

Pluspunten:

I love how flexible Cloudways is. I've dabbled with a few similar tools since I first tried Cloudways, and none of them had quite as many options. I love how you can easily spin up new servers, and each server can be configured down to the small details at any time. It means you can have a VPS without having to be a server administrator. Cloudways gives you an interface that lets you do ALMOST everything you might need, and does all the hard work behind the scenes for you.

Minpunten:

There are a few things I would like to see, like Litespeed integration for servers. I would also like an option to have email services through your server, even if it cost extra. Also, the interface could use a slight refresh as it can be a little daunting at first.

User-friendly managed cloud hosting providers for beginners

Opmerkingen: Since it's largely a middleman for third-party cloud providers, you don't have to worry about the technical stuff when managing your hosting. Instead, you can just focus on growing your business.

Pluspunten:

The best thing about Cloudways is that they offer the third-party hosting services as packages, so you get a better idea of what particular plan will suit you best. These plans also come with email hosting and backup, which is highly recommended if you're on WordPress.

In the beginning, I found the pay-as-you-go system a bit confusing. You're also limited to the cloud providers they have on the platform.
