Transferring data with ease

Opmerkingen: Using Box for both personal and professional usage and it's been one of my go to tool since a long time. I would likely to continue with Box for future.

Pluspunten:

Box is an easy solution for securing data. The app is an really helpful one to upload critical clients data securely which can be store for longer period

Minpunten:

Most things are covered by Box as a content cloud management system. I would love to have better dashboard with customization.

Good workflow and I like Canvas feature

Pluspunten:

The workflow is easy and fairly seamless. I like the canvas feature.

Minpunten:

I wish the sharing of folders worked a little bit better or that it was more clear who each was shared with.

Good but not great

Opmerkingen: Overall, a decent value for the price. It could be designed a little bit easier for use.

Pluspunten:

The cost is reasonable. It is also fairly easy to use.

Minpunten:

It is not the most easy software to maneuver about.

Better than the rest

Opmerkingen: Came for the file storage. Staying for the wide array of features to edit, collaborate, protect, and organize my work.

Pluspunten:

Besides being a file sharing and storage software, it excels where other software does not even come close. I like the features to edit docs and files. The integration with google workspace, adobe, and microsoft office make this so essential. The security features are also not something I realized I valued until I started using box. I just feel like my files and my data are taken care of when I use this service.

Minpunten:

There is no beating around the bush here: box is expensive. But also... lots of storage services are these days. The free version does not get you very far. I think it's the same space Google Drive gives you, but again, the features within box cannot be found elsewhere.

Opmerkingen: We've used it for years to track various parts of our business, with the persona on site and the one in the office, both able to update, without having to meet or even be in the same place.

Quick, simple, easy way to collaborate with others across distances.

I really can't think of anything. We mainly use the spreadsheets and it works great.

Solid File Sharing System

Opmerkingen: I have been using Box for many years. As an early adopter, I can say that the brand has been loyal to it’s early adopters and that is really appreciated. I only ran into an issue once with a storage related issue and their support team had to run a script to fix it but they were very responsive as they tackled my request in a few business hours which was impressive. Highly recommend.

Pluspunten:

Generous data storage allowance Competitive Pricing Top-notch support team and I’m talking from experience.

Minpunten:

Sometimes some files get duplicated so you might have to delete doubles manually but I’d rather have my files doubled than deleted. So far the archiving on Box has been a pleasant experience as I never experienced data loss.

Security means BOX

Opmerkingen: It's a great cloud storage service, its safety is the most powerful weapon bout this service. There is no record that exists like the hack of documents spamming in BOX.

Pluspunten:

I love to use BOX for my document's security. I have been using BOX for the last 5 years as my document management and file sharing.

Minpunten:

I like least about BOX is its offline file options. I don't use this.

Box for business is great

Pluspunten:

Box makes it easy to share larger files that we cannot send via email. Doesn't matter if they are in our organization or not. It's a great way to send files.

Minpunten:

There isn't a lot to not like about Box other than the added cost for licenses. But even that is a bargain.

Store document securely with Box

Pluspunten:

Box is very helpful in storing my digital document on cloud storage and provide a secure storage to protect it from any data breach. Quite a cheap option compared to other software on the market, but still provide a premium features like others.

Minpunten:

Can't resume the download or upload when the process is interrupted because of network problem.

Box - a review for those who are wishing to give this one a try

Opmerkingen: I have been using box for the last 6 months and its a daily use tool like SharePoint, you have data sheets to collaborate with team. So I use it. Efficiency is high as real time collaboration is possible and the data flow is smooth

Pluspunten:

I like its embedded widget feature, helpful in getting content embedded in some other external applications like web pages, blogs etc

Minpunten:

The costing is more compared to other products in markets, also not many people are familiar enough with this product, so takes some time to learn.

Great from researchers

Opmerkingen: As someone involved in clinical research, Box makes it extremely easy to create project folders with many different types of documents (word,pdf,excel,ppt) all in a HIPAA compliant manner. Additionally, the advanced components of the share features allow certain documents to be restricted based on someone’s role on our team.

Pluspunten:

Being able to use Microsoft programs is the greatest advantage, especially compared to Google drive.

Minpunten:

Slightly more difficult to collaborate, especially when it comes to people editing the same document at the same time. It seems like the document doesn’t always sync up correctly and multiple versions end up getting saved.

automates manual processes

Opmerkingen: It reduced my work by having more effective communication with my group to carry out the tasks together and visualize their process.

Pluspunten:

Previously, the processes that we now automate through Box took us a long time to carry out, with automation we have reduced work times and improved daily production in task deliveries. It has been useful and we have been able to work as a more organized team and with better tools.

Minpunten:

In my experience there is nothing I have to say that needs to be improved, it is a good platform with its services

Box is a great tool to use.

Opmerkingen: I was very hesitant at first to use box because I was so used to using a local drive on my computer. However, it functions even better than using a shared local drive as its quicker, efficient, and the web version allows you to track who changes the document, what time, and you can go into an older version of the document in case something was changed and you need to figure out what. I also like it tells you who was in the document and at what time. Finally, the feature that is very helpful with working with outside firms is that we can share documents over the secure server. This greatly helps in cases where our organization does not allow us to use email to transfer files.

Pluspunten:

I like the saved versions so you can always go back and pull up the old version in case you deleted something; I like that its quick to access; I like the ease of using it

Minpunten:

None; Box serves its purpose for our organization

Box vs. Case Management

Opmerkingen: It took time for me to understand the platform. Once I did it was an easy file system for the duration, until the company went to a Case Management system.

Pluspunten:

The ability to file documents and able to access from multiple location's.

Minpunten:

A patient had to be moved manually when he/she went from Active to Inactive. It would have been nice to have a way to select Inactive and it moved on its own.

Box a great alternative to email

Opmerkingen: Over all we are very happy with our Box accounts and they work as expected.

Pluspunten:

Box is a very easy platform for sharing files that can't be sent via email. Safe and secure its a great platform for any business that needs to share large files with clients or other collaborators.

Minpunten:

Can be a pain to manage, and you can end up with a lot of individual accounts

Opmerkingen: We continue to use Box because of its simplicity and smooth transitions between our team. As mentioned, the syncing can sometimes be slow

Simple and clean. We have developed a process and system using the box cloud, and it has been a game changer for our business.

Minpunten:

I noticed that sometimes it does not sync with the box online. This can be a struggle at times due to Wi-Fi connection and or the speed of the box update.

Much better than a lot of the top competitors

Opmerkingen: Overall, box is much better than the other cloud storage services I used.

Pluspunten:

The desktop program is very light and syncs very well. The canvas option is very useful for collaboration. The box client does not crash as much while dealing with large about of data. Also while it syncs a lot of files, the computer does not get slowed down.

Minpunten:

The link expiration is a bit finicky. When I turned the link expiration off for public sharing, it turns on itself automatically the next time I logged back into my box account.

Nice document sharing and management tool

Its very easy to share documents. It had good vwrsion history as well. I can update it online or download amd upload the revised document later

Minpunten:

Searching dor doxuments is a little tedious. Also it gives a generic error message if a document is not found or if you dont have access to it.
