Great Tool & Responsive Customer Support

Pluspunten:

Configuration is done by a GUI which makes it easy to setup initially but options make the tool even more powerful. I'm learning every day about alternative ways to return even richer data for example using regular expressions or scraping data from popups.

Minpunten:

With such an advanced feature set, it is often not obvious how a feature works. The documentation is okay and there is a healthy community of active users willing to help (and even some YouTube How-To videos) but I've had to invest a lot of effort into learning to use the product properly. Suggest a guided tutorial from start-to-finish highlighting the features. Individual FAQs are documented, but the entire workflow would be helpful.

Opmerkingen: I've used and taught with WebHarvy for about 3-4 years. I use it for research and industry projects. My experience has always been positive. The software is easy to use and pulls data as needed. It is also fast and further updates from its inception have made it only faster. Any question is responded quickly and professionally from the tech support staff, including customized code one might need to scrape difficult websites. Overall WebHarvy is truly a "hidden gem" in the arena of web scraping.

Pluspunten:

WebHarvy is easy to use, is able to pull the data I need from most websites, and is priced at an affordable level for any type of organization including even entrepreneurs and small startups.

Minpunten:

I would like to see a Mac version of WebHarvy.

The most best part of this software is that tutorials are available on youtube.com for many big websites. Configuring a mining project is also very easy and you get many hints from videos and other blogs

Minpunten:

Scrapping stop from time to time and you need to keep an eye all the time to resume. Unattended operation for big data is not possible and sometime you loose data after several days of scarpping

Wonderful Desktop Scraping Product

Opmerkingen: Fantastic. They actually gave me videos showing me how to implement a couple of scrapers we were working on.

Pluspunten:

I'm very pleased with the quality and support of this product. It has a bit of a learning curve in performing certain functions.

Minpunten:

It's a bit too developer centric in some of its functionality. A developer will have to support certain functions that require RegExs in order to work.

Pluspunten:

I have downloaded few web scraping programmes and I spent days trying to figure out how to use them. In the end I tried Webharvey and I was using it within minutes . Also, it took time figuring out how to do the pagination of booking comments, and I wrote an email to the support and got the answer within an hour. To sum up its a great tool to scrap comments for those who dont programm.

Minpunten:

It takes around 4 hours to scrape thousands of comments but I understand that the programm has to open every page individually and the speed depends more of the page that you scrape the comments from

User friendly and new update increase the speed of scraping

Pluspunten:

I wrote a previous review saying how user friendly this software is and that for me the down side was that it was slow to scrape when compared to other softwares that do the same thing. This new update (6.0.1.173) increased the speed to scrape. So, this software is my choice for this task. The support team always give you fast and helpful support, sometimes providing you even pieces of code to help you use it.

Minpunten:

You can always increase the speed of scraping.

It seems potent. Hopefully it can do what I need. I can get my money back within 15 days if not satisfied.

Minpunten:

After functioning for one day it ceased to work. It simply won't open. The customer support is slow or non-existent over weekends. I don't know how to get it started again.

Accurate, Efficient And Designed Well

Opmerkingen: The software is intuitive however, some extractions are just difficult to know every step. The customer support has been TOP-SHELF! Even the interface design of how you request support is perfect.

Pluspunten:

Sometimes sites are purposely designed to preclude you from extracting large amounts of data efficiently. WebHarvy gets around that and makes it easy.

Minpunten:

Some larger extractions take a long time to accomplish. This has much to do with how the data is stored and the speed of your internet connection I'm sure. But, it's an automated process so you can set it and forget it.

Opmerkingen: I am trying to find an efficient and accurate way of capture web data and transfer the data into excel format for further analysis. WebHarvy has met my objectives and I will have the flexibility of saving a configuration, edit and deploy again and again, saving much valuable time and money.

To me, the support given by the WebHarvy Support Engineer, is of upmost importance. As a new user, whenever I am not sure of any step in "How To do this or that", I am able to rely on their 5 Stars quality responses. It is easy to apply the software's algorithm to configure my specific requirement for web data.

Opmerkingen: Simply the best ever Web scraping tool, I used in my company and as wells as a freelancer also to webscraping , mining and exporting the data into either excel spreedseet or SQl data bases.

Pluspunten:

1) Best price in the market compared to any other products 2)Ease of usage 3)Support team is very responsive and explain clearly everything about the tools to use 4) the best thing is the Support team will provide Regex for certain texts or contents to scrape. 5)Anyone can use this tool easily. 6) Importantly, you can schedule them on a daily, weekly basis without manually opening and running files.

Minpunten:

1) I never faced any issue with webharvy. I used webharvy to mine nearly 1000's of websites to scrape their job listings and scheduled them daily basis.

Opmerkingen: My overall experience of using web-Harvey has been great over the last three years. The software has improved significantly over the period and works almost flawlessly, for otherwise a relatively complicated task i.e. web-scrapping. Also, the team is super responsive and supportive, which ensures that one is not stuck.

Pluspunten:

WebHarvey is the best data scraping tool out there and has many pros: 1. Capturing fields from the website are relatively easy. 2. The new edition (Version 6), works very fast and is fast. 3. The software is cheap, comes with a lifetime validity (unlike others which charge monthly), and allows for unlimited data download. 4. The support team is responsive and knowledgeable, if one is not able to scrape a website, they immediately post a video. 5. Ample tutorials (both brief and advanced ones) on the website (www.webharvey.com) and tutorial videos on YouTube makes usage hassle-free. 6. Cheap, Cheap & Super Cheap: The biggest pros of webharvey is that comes with advanced web-scraping features and is one of the cheaptest software for scraping.

The only cons I have faced at times is that the software enters the next cell value when a particular data field on the website is empty. However, this happens rearelly. Also, this can be taken care of at post-processing stage.

Best Scrapper Explored till now

Opmerkingen: Day by day webharvy is improving a lot and becoming smarter day by day. So I would rate 4.8 of 5.

I can scrape any website till now either this way or that way.

Few websites like eBay, I have other good option in terms of speed.

The software has all of the features you would expect and it is easy to work with. The customer support is excellent and they have an active YouTube channel with many how-to videos.

I can't think of any "Cons". Like every software, you have to learn how to use it.

A Good Tool for Non Programmers

Opmerkingen: This is great for non programmers and easy to use. I LOVE the customer service team. They reply my answers promptly in the email. I think the tech support team is the most valuable customer experience part for this product.

Pluspunten:

It is relatively easy to use. Customer Support team has been a great help.

Minpunten:

Unstable. For example, I use the same .xml file in scheduled scrapping, it gives me different output, e.g., omitting some pages.

Fantastic data scraping

Opmerkingen: Fantastic experience. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, responsive and friendly.

Pluspunten:

The interface is very user friendly and has all the features we need. We had been using a different scraping platform and ran into limitations that WebHarvy had no problems with. The tech support team helped us with some complex scrape jobs and made the transition very easy.

Minpunten:

I'm not an expert with javascript. If I was, it would be much easier to format my data the way I need it, but WebHarvy is certainly capable of what I need. I'm sure I'll be able to do whatever I need through the large selection of trianing videos and the support department.

WebHervey software - 10/10 ease of use and great customer support, which I use alot!

I tried a couple of other similar software, WebHarvey is a great product, I ask for help on a regular basis, they always have answers to my problems, I try to get help for other software that I use but no where near as good as the help WebHarvy provide. I love the way they make a short video on the steps/process, It makes it very easy to use. they help with which Regex code to use to extract certain text.

I can't think of anything really off the top of my head, If I could It would only be a minor issue.

My Secret Weapon

Opmerkingen: I've used this tool for several projects related to data mining, lead generation, etc. I've probably used it 30+ times in the last 2 years. I've always been more than satisfied with the results. It's also very flexible in terms of how it can be applied to different data scenarios.

Pluspunten:

The best part of being a WebHarvy user is the consistent level of detailed and relevant support I receive about using the product. The technical aspects of the tool can be challenging if you aren't well versed in tech language, but the support is timely, clear, straightforward and really makes all the difference in the world.
