OneCause is a One Stop Shop!

Pluspunten:

The OneCause platform is super user-friendly and easy to use. As an admin of our account and someone who hadn't used a platform like this before, I was really happy with the features and the ability to customize the Giving Center to look on-brand. We appreciated the support team's readiness and willingness to help us whenever needed, and they were always able to answer our super-specific questions.

Minpunten:

While there are a lot of customizable options, there were a few things we wanted to do that we couldn't. For example, we wanted to turn off max-bidding, which wasn't possible. We also wanted to use HTML for our package restrictions.

Opmerkingen: Amazing! In-house products combined with your staff made our experience exceptional.

Pluspunten:

In house iPads and swipers!! Additionally, the staff provided night of was amazing.

Minpunten:

The Dashboard -- again I may just be used to GiveSmart I just wish it was nicer to look at. It was very easy to view the dashboard night of to see the progress of the silent auction

OneCause Disappoints

Opmerkingen: Very disappointing. The database deleted items after we had already packaged them. It was not a quick fix as the OC reps insinuated. There were 3 people working on it for a few hours. The database erroneously indicated a sale was made the day before our event. Portions of the database deleted the letter "D" and replaced it with "=" making it difficult to search names to resolve problems. The database randomly added a guest from last year to the receipt for an unrelated person this year. I can only wonder what errors were not caught by us.

Pluspunten:

It has a database of several of our previous galas.

Minpunten:

The software has a LOT of glitches and the people at OneCause don't really seem to care at all.

Opmerkingen: Overall, love our experience with OneCause.

Pluspunten:

LOVE our representatives and event managers. ALWAYS on point and attentive when needed!! They always offer tools to help utilize their systems.

Minpunten:

The time taking to get used to the new system - all great though!

OneCause brought our fundraising out of the dark ages!

Opmerkingen: As with so many other non-profits, we were forced to pivot during the pandemic to find other ways to fundraise. We purchased OneCause as a result and as it turns out, was one of the best purchases we've made. There are many facets to OneCause including event management, online auction, donation tracking, credit card processing, etc. The event website build requires some patience, but OneCause provides an outstanding help center including a "University" to help users succeed. Each support request that I've had over the past 4 years has been answered in a timely manner. On top of all that, OneCause provides regular webinars covering a variety of helpful topics. The event management piece is easy to use and track attendees. The online auction provides an outstanding guest experience and has increased our silent auction proceeds from the antiquated paper bid sheets. Overall OneCause is a powerful fundraising tool, and we are happy to have this software in our fundraising toolbelt.

Pluspunten:

The best aspect of OneCause is the online auction. As important as the proceeds are from a fundraising event, the guest experience is just as important. Our guests are thrilled with the convenience that an online auction provides. The days of going back and forth to write down a bid are gone! OneCause delivers an outstanding, simple and convenient auction experience.

Minpunten:

What I like the least about OneCause is building an event website. The inability of uploading photos and videos directly into the custom pages is inconvenient. Instead, photos need to be uploaded to Google or Dropbox and then the link is placed behind the scenes with some tweaks. The same process is required for videos.

OneCause Helps with Our Cause!

Opmerkingen: I love OneCause! No more paper bid sheets! No more raffle tickets! Everything is on the OneCause platform where tickets, bidding, and donations are simple.

Pluspunten:

OneCause is very userfriendly and when I don't know how to do something, their training videos and websites are very helpful as is customer service when I need a little more help! We've used OneCause for over a decade and I've been working with it for the past three years for our event planning. We've had events where OneCause provided support persons and equipment and we've had events that were completely DIY. As the event is approaching and ending, I use OneCause multiple times a day to track progress and do post-event reports. Our most recent experience with OneCause was for a golf tournament (a new event for us) and integration and implementation was easy and seamless!

Minpunten:

My only issue with OneCause is when I'm entering items for our auctions and click Save and Next, it doesn't always save my entry. It's not a deterrent, I just go about entering, saving, and entering the next item differently.

MCHS Foundation

Opmerkingen: OneCause elevated our fundraising events to a level our rural community wasn't even necessarily ready for. However, it was quickly embraced and has helped us to reach further and raise more than we otherwise could have.

Pluspunten:

Bringing OneCause as a mobile bidding platform to our fundraising events elevated our reach, impact and fundraising goals.

Minpunten:

Initially the cost was relatively large for us as we utilized onsite support for our large gala. However, a couple years in we became incredibly confident in the set up and usage of the software and now utilize it DIY for all of our events.

Great for traditional bidding/paddle raises

Pluspunten:

It's one of the only pieces of software still around that does traditional paddle raise/bidding with a held credit card and charge at a later date. A lot of software requires bidders/donors to register for an account or submit their information through a form. OneCause allows for the flexibility of a more curated participant experience.

Minpunten:

The UI/UX of the back end is old and clunky to use.

Silent Auction Success

Opmerkingen: Streamlined, user friendly, and the support team was very helpful, especially [sensitive content hidden], our on-site event manager. She was wonderful. OneCause truly helped us save time, resources and maximize giving at our event, along with offering our guests a professional and forwarding thinking giving experience.

Pluspunten:

We used OneCause primarily as an auction management software. Our team loved how streamlined it made the bidding process, the close out process, and collecting payment. We are looking forward to next year's event now that our guests' information is already entered into OneCause because the check in process will be quick and easy, and we've learned a few things about how the software works best for us.

Minpunten:

We are dismayed there is no way to share links to each individual auction item. We like to feature lots in our eblasts before our event, but it was frustrating only be able to share the link to the OneCause auction homepage rather than individual lots.

Overall happy with services

Pluspunten:

The onsite support at our event was wonderful. I appreciated everything the team did to represent our staff on the night of the event and offer great support to our staff and guests alike.

Minpunten:

I am not a coder or someone as familiar with tech so having to do the design elements on our home page were assigned to someone else. Loading images for auction items after the first image feels like it should be easier.

The Customer Service team was always quick to respond and the same representative stayed with us through our event. Did not have to use a third party to have staff at our event.

Minpunten:

That you could not change the view of the item details on your page or mobile device

Valuable Fundraising Tool

Opmerkingen: OneCause has become a valuable tool in our fundraising arsenal. During the pandemic the platform provided us the ability to hold all of our planned events even with the cancellation of in-person events and the uncertainty that surrounded event planning. OneCause provided the tools to enable virtual and contactless events pretty seamlessly. Our constituent base has adapted to the use of the online platform, which we continue to use with live events as well, and we have been able to grow our donor base by offering an online component to donors who cannot attend in-person events but still want to support our cause.

Pluspunten:

We purchased this software when the need for virtual events arose. We were looking for a tool to use for fundraising events that included raffles, silent auctions, registration, and peer-to-peer campaigns. The different options available within the software allowed us to tailor each event set up to our specific needs. We required a platform that would be viable for both a virtual and in-person events and would also offer options for hybrid events. The help and support available from OneCause helped to streamline the learning curve. Once we got past the learning curve, the product is easy to use. The various reporting functions were important since the software does not integrate with our CRM system. The ease of use for our donor base was a factor as well.

Minpunten:

OneCause does not integrate with the CRM system we use, so we had to come up with a few internal workarounds to address accounting and donor contact issues. Setting up event pages is not intuitive, and I needed the help of a web developer to give the pages a professional look and feel. There is a large learning curve to be able to utilize all aspects of the software, which involved a lot of online training videos and articles.

Absolutely seamless software and such a game changer for our non-profit!

Opmerkingen: I cannot fathom maneuvering the pandemic as a non-profit without the use of OneCause, much less any other year. We incorporated it into every single virtual event and in-person event and were able to stay financially stable thanks to its use. We actually surpassed our budgeting goals for the year and had the most successful mobile bidding gala silent auction in the Zoos history. We look forward to using OneCause for many years to come!

Pluspunten:

OneCause, including their mobile bidding, peer-to-peer and online giving platforms, has absolutely set the standard for fundraising software for the best price. The software has been invaluable to our non-profit, paying for itself after a single event. Our team seamlessly incorporated each platform into our in-person and virtual events with ease. The mobile bidding software is not only a breeze for administrators to create and manage from the back end, but we have received countless compliments from users/guests as to its ease of use. Even older audiences were able to easily navigate the auction, donate and even set bots/watch different packages. The peer-to-peer platform was unreal. Not only does it have the best aesthetics and options for design, it's seamless in its reporting and analytics. Our peer-to-peer Walk was praised for being a interactive, exciting way to build networks and fundraise for the Zoo for an extended period of time. We cannot stress the effectiveness of this software enough!

Minpunten:

There is truly so little that we dislike about OneCause. Our customer support contacts were so easy to reach, communicate with and work through any dilemma with. Our only "wish list" item for OneCause's mobile bidding software is simply to be able to categorize fixed price packages. That's all we can think of to improve the platform, which speaks strides of its excellence.

User friendly and a must-have for large events

Opmerkingen: While the community was sure it wouldn't work for them, it did! The ease of bidding from anywhere you are and sharing the items with friends and family near and far is extremely beneficial. Our auction proceeds have nearly doubled since we started using Onecause to its full capacity.

Pluspunten:

I love the max-bids function. We try to push this out to our constituents so that they can attend and enjoy the evening without worrying about getting outbid.

Minpunten:

Three suggestions: Be able to select who has to enter a credit card to bid and who doesn't. As a school we know almost everyone attending and some of our parents prefer not to enter a credit card up front. While some attendees are not known to us and requiring a credit card would be a must. Secondly, allowing for more than one photo upload would be great. The added URL option is wonderful, but it's sometimes not easy to find photos of items online, especially if they are one of a kind. Another suggestion: We use the Auction Catalogue as our displays at the event. It would be really great to single page display option for items that need to be highlighted. A larger picture or event logo at the top would add to it.

The Best Out There!

Pluspunten:

I love the one-on-one support we receive from our event managers. It is so helpful to have someone willing to help at all times.

Minpunten:

The site customization is limited and can make it difficult to incorporate our branding.

OneCause Auction Software use

Pluspunten:

It is easy to use and setup. Our auction committee feels comfortable using it, and our community has an easy time setting up their accounts/profiles for ease of bidding. We like the functionality of the product and it's a much better forward-facing product than other softwares I've used previously.

Minpunten:

I would LOVE the ability to have a button to easily create links for URL's in the setup of items and packages. It would save us all so, so much time.

I LOVE their customer service. It is by far the best support I have ever received from an online company. There is never a long wait time when I call, they are always patient, friendly, and helpful. I get the answer I need to assure our fundraising and auction runs smooth.

I so far have not had any cons. I really believe they have set us up for success.

OneCause Test Drive

Opmerkingen: The overall event went well and exceeded last year's fundraising goals. With the cost of the software, their share of the funds raised, and the credit card fees, we ended up about where we were last year without an app.

Pluspunten:

OneCause was easy for end-users to bid and pay online.

Minpunten:

Organizing the auction items with images was time consuming even with the import features.

Easy and Effective

Opmerkingen: We use OneCause primarily for our silent auction and ticket sales. I really appreciate the in-person, on-site support we get during our Gala and Auction as well.

Pluspunten:

I like that the product is easy to change and manipulate on the back end. The support team is also always available and answers emails quickly.

Minpunten:

I wish the website could be more powerful and look a little more up to date.

Opmerkingen: One Cause's greatest asset is their people. The One Cause personnel is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure working with every OneCause representative that I encountered.

Pluspunten:

Software is easy to use and the tutorials are very helpful. OneCause has a complete suite of tools to make event management and fundraising a breeze.

Minpunten:

I wish it offered the user the ability to be more visual. I wish that One Cause offered an online market that anyone could utilize to bid on auction prizes or to show their generosity and support.

OneCause

Opmerkingen: Couldn't have lived without it, but there are some improvements to be made. I felt as though I constantly had to call to ask questions. It would be nice if we (users) were given a better overall tutorial of the platform - start to finish.

Pluspunten:

The auction items are able to be previewed prior to the event date which is most helpful. Allowing those who can't make it to the event itself the opportunity to participate! Therefore reaching a wider net than the traditional auction setup allows.

Minpunten:

There isn't an app. Guests were really flustered by the website. They wanted something extremely user-friendly. Most of our participants are older and don't know how to navigate the website.

Increases your Winning Bids

Opmerkingen: Using OneCause has facilitated our Silent Auctions tremendously. We started using this system when we had to first do our Gala virtually and have continued to use this product for parts of our Golf Event, online fundraising and as a means to mass communicate (text) to our Golfers when we had to cancel at the last minute due to weather.

Pluspunten:

The ability to text reminders to bidders, let them know when outbid, etc. was key to increasing our winning bids.

Minpunten:

Our system does not interface with our donation management software. Setting up a new event can be time consuming, especially when first learning the system and if do not use often to remember how to set things up.
