Using for Global Operations Centre

Opmerkingen: Generally excellent tool to organize and coordinate shifts. Daily use, easy to follow and manage, flexibility and many options.

Pluspunten:

Free version suitable for small team to try and use + availability - flexibility to update in case of more requirements. App + web and notifications... Generally we have not found better product so far for 24/7 operations team.

Minpunten:

Not really , suits our needs, if you need more reports you have to pay, what is normal and reasonable. Not sure if possible to have few different time zones in one schedule, based on location

Scheduling Tool Perfection

Opmerkingen: We tried to move from Sling to another product and ultimately went back to Sling. It is extremely user friendly, can handle the crazy scheduling needs for our complex hospital, as well offers an employee database.

Pluspunten:

Super easy to create recurring schedules for the team, keep track of time off requests, and fill in gaps in scheduling when necessary.

Minpunten:

The only thing I wish Sling could do is copy singular shifts and "paste" them somewhere else. The app/website offers a repetitive function, but for the shifts that only re-occur occasionally this would make scheduling much more efficient.

Love and Hate Relationship

Opmerkingen: We specifically chose this app because it integrated with Gusto, but the integration does not work well and the payroll report integration with gusto, does not work at all. Customer service is super hard to get hold of, they don't know what is going on, and it has been 3 months and the issue is still not fixed. It was difficult transferring everything over to sling and now we are stuck with them until we can switch over to a new company. Very disappointed with the integration and the lack of support. They have no phone number to call, it is only through a chat, that they take long to respond.

Pluspunten:

Creating, tracking and duplicating shifts works really well

Minpunten:

Integration with Gusto and customer support.

Allowing unavailability to be completely customized and overlaid with the schedule

The inability to edit time off requests.

A Streamlined Timeclock System for Billable Contractor Hours

Pluspunten:

The timeclock system is very easy to use, and you can effortlessly apply filters to execute payroll and AR procedures.

Minpunten:

The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Not all agents are bad [Thank you [sensitive content hidden] for saving us!], but most of the time the responses are generic, and provide no real solution.

Easy to Use

Opmerkingen: It's been great. Need to adjust some of the messaging settings, but overall it's been an easy transition for all.

Pluspunten:

The best thing about Sling is the ease of use. It is very user friendly and easy to understand.

Minpunten:

I don't like how easy it is for the staff to send out messages to everyone in the building.

ED SLING SCHEDULING

Opmerkingen: It works with a staff of over 50 associates and makes scheduling much simpler with that number of staff. Covering 12- 15 different shifts per day in a 24/7 department.

Pluspunten:

The ease all the staff can enter the dates they want to work, so schedules can be covered. Cuts down on phone calls of management to see who is available for uncovered shits and days.

Minpunten:

I would like the Staff- Off that day Days to be at the top of the Schedule so the person doing the scheduling would know who not to look for on that shift.

Sling is Wonderful!!!

Pluspunten:

This software is very helpful for scheduling, tracking time punches, and reporting. Especially when integrated with Toast, Sling is excellent! The mobile functionality of Sling is also incredibly important and useful.

Minpunten:

The user interface in the mobile app leaves a bit to be desired.

Opmerkingen: Overall, I had a positive experience with Sling! I appreciated how organized and visually aesthetic the app is, and notifications about shift conditions (started, changed, removed) was nice.

Pluspunten:

I loved how easy it was to see my schedule and communicate with my team.

Minpunten:

While this may vary based on what organization is using Sling, it was difficult at times to put in for time-off or swap shifts with others.

Production manager review for live productions

Opmerkingen: Overall I have a great experience besides from the couple issues I've run into. I use it daily ad it makes it way easier to run a schedule my crews.

Pluspunten:

I really like how easy is is to schedule people, put up available shifts for employees and the reminders so people know to come in to work. It makes my job easier and gives me some peace of mind.

Minpunten:

I have a couple issues.My least favorite thing is the mobile app, I said before it's just clunky and doesn't feel like a mobile app.I also need a way to view pdf's on the app without it downloading to your phone.And lastly it would make everything so much easier if I could have an hourly rate and a day rate option for employee's.That would solve all my issues and make me love using this scheduling system. I think I could even get some live music venues in the area to use it too because there isnt a program that does all of those things and your system is already really easy to use.

User Friendly

Opmerkingen: I believe Sling has reduced the amount of employees missing work or being late for work. Ability to make announcements to all of our employees to ensure our message gets out.

Pluspunten:

Being able to copy and paste the schedule weekly saves time when making a schedule. In my department alone I have 87 employees. The unavailability feature is great so that as managers we can ensure we are scheduling people when they are available. This reduces the amount of time we would need to make adjustments to schedules if we scheduled someone when they were not available. The messaging and announcement feature is great so that we can send out a group message to get an announcement out to all associates. Also being able to send private messages to employees is great so we do not have to give our personal phone number out to all employees.

Minpunten:

Not being able to delete private messages. We can archive the messages but cannot delete them. We have to archive each one individually which is time consuming. Also when we want to delete an announcement we have to check two boxes and then hit delete. Would be better if we could just click on the announcement or multiple announcements and hit delete.

Extremely easy, inexpensive, and comprehensive scheduling tool

Opmerkingen: Extremely positive; we were lacking an online scheduler and mobile access for about 2 to 3 years and the use of Sling made scheduling much easier (versus pen and paper) and reduced issues due to accidental missed shifts.

Pluspunten:

I looked through several scheduling tools before settling on Sling. This included simple Excel sheets, Homebase, and When I Work. I settled on Sling because of the wide array of features for no cost and mobile app access. The mobile app experience, per my team, was easy and extremely convenient. I personally was impressed with the ease of the drag-and-drop scheduler.

Minpunten:

About the only issues I had with the software was the occasional challenge to invite a new user. We haven't used it in a while now, but the only problem was that it seemed hard to resend the invite email to download the app. That being said, I think it was only because there are a lot of features in the software, and it can be a little challenging to do once specific task simply because it can take a minute to find it.

It is easy to see everyone’s work schedule and request time off. Also like the ability to message particular coworkers or groups of coworkers.

Minpunten:

I get lots of notifications on the mobile app.

Opmerkingen: Overall we really enjoy this product, it can be accessed anywhere on your phone so easy to check when your shift is.

Pluspunten:

It's easy to use, it even gives text reminders for your shift if you enable it. There's a messaging system on it that allows staff to communicate.

Minpunten:

I wish there were more options for taking time off requests.

Good platform for scheduling management.

Pluspunten:

This platform is very easy to use. Time tracking, request days off, PTO, vacation time, swaps, I was able to do everything there, it is self-explanatory. And we were able to access it from our phones, works for remote work.

Minpunten:

Nothing negative to mention. Good platform.

We LOVE using Sling

Opmerkingen: Overall, we love everything about Sling!

Pluspunten:

Sling makes my scheduling task a breeze. I especially like: 1) being able to copy a previously posted schedule into a future period 2) employees being able to post unavailability 3) employees being able to make time off requests 4) employees being able to view who they are working with on a scheduled day 5) the ease in changing a schedule when a sick call comes in or an employee emergency happens

Minpunten:

I really can't think of anything I do not like about Sling.

Basic Sling is great

Pluspunten:

Our company uses the basic level of Sling for scheduling. It’s nice to creat reoccurring shifts, allow employees to submit requests off, put daily notes in and to be able to trade shifts (with managementa approval). Not really sure how I put up with my previous way of scheduling. Sling has made it a breeze.

Minpunten:

No cons on the basic level - maybe if we paid for it, there might be a con?…

I like that I can easily see who is working what shifts with me when. I also like that different roles can be color coded.

Minpunten:

The mobile app can be difficult to navigate at time, but the online website is very accessible.

Helped me organize my work schedule and keep on better contact with my team. I enjoyed the cohesiveness and that it actually reduced bungling with multiple platforms.

I would have liked to have access or options for better privacy and enhanced security features.

Sling for Scheduling

Opmerkingen: Overall I am pleased with this software, our employees never have any negative feedback which is always nice.

Pluspunten:

I really appreciate that there is an accessible employee database. This feature allows me to not have to add every employee on my personal phone because I can reference the database for needed information. I also quite like the Newsfeed feature. We currently have different categories in which to post pertinent information. It is helpful in sharing information with the team when we are all not present.

Minpunten:

I do not like that when on my desktop, the Newsfeed will alert me about new posts but the alert will not go away after I review the posts.
