Opmerkingen: We've been quite pleased to date with all of our interactions and when problems or deadlines have moved - the EA team has worked with us to ensure we meed our organizational goals.

Pluspunten:

Our organization had been with a Blackbaud product for many years and were challenged in ease of use and functionality. We were excited to find all of the assets as part of EveryAction that would allow us to engage with our donors, advocates, pet passionate people and pet parents in a very different way. As of now - we are smack in the middle of our data conversion. It is not without some pain points but that is absolutely expected in any conversion. But, I've been impressed with the quality of customer service, availability and commitment of the EA team to getting it right. As of now - I'd absolutely suggest exploring their tools and their team! We've been most happy!

Minpunten:

We are not deep into usage to be able to honestly answer this questions. We do know we one of the negatives in the selection process was the inability to embed video in outbound emails. But we understand many clients are requesting this option and are working hard to roll out that tool soon!

Not for small nonprofits

Opmerkingen: I have used this platform for over 5 years while working at a small nonprofit of 7 staff. Building lists for communications seems to work fine for my colleagues and me, but retrieving donor data that is useful and relevant is either awkward or impossible with this platform. Yesterday I actually did simple algebra on pen and paper to get the relevant comparisons I needed to provide a board member with requested data. As the only fundraiser at my organization, I have limited time. I tried to find how to get a 3-year donor report recently and found I could not get that information in a way that was useful. This should be a simple report that is easily applied to all donors. Instead, the best one can do is get a PDF of gross change over the past two years plus the current year. It is possible that I could get more of what I want given time, but small-shop fundraisers don't have two weeks to be constantly calling customer service and experimenting with the DMS. Given what I know about the information my board members currently want, I would never pick this platform. If you are a fundraising staff of one, beware.

This platform is reasonably priced and customer service is usually prompt.

Minpunten:

Difficulty retrieving data requested by board members, staff, and consultants.

Great software, be sure you have the team capacity to learn it

Pluspunten:

The functionality/ features offered are really helpful and extremely versatile - we use EveryAction as our volunteer management base as well as our donor CRM.

Minpunten:

Be sure to dedicate the organizational/company time and capacity needed to customize it for your needs and to align across your teams about how to properly use the systems and get practiced with them. That is the biggest pitfall we've had as an org.

Price is reasonable for the level we chose and the features available. Still many capabilities we can implement as we become more proficient with the platform, especially in automations and moves management.

Highly Recommend Using Bonterra Development + Digital

Opmerkingen: Bonterra Development + Digital (formerly EveryAction) has made managing our records of pledge signers, donors, and our outreach missions extremely simple and pain-free. The database also allows for pulling contact information for targeted emails and mail lists very easily, which we use daily.

Pluspunten:

Working for a non-profit foundation that does so much of it's work online, Bonterra Development + Digital has been an excellent tool for me to use. The tools to send targeted emails, create mailing lists, keep track of all online and in-person donations and grants, and providing a system for membership and recurring donations have been crucial to the functioning of our foundation.

Minpunten:

I suppose at the beginning it was a tad overwhelming to learn how to use, because there are so many resources, but the Help Center was a great resource and now I feel very comfortable navigating the platform.

Easy, "glitch free" CRM with lots of features

Opmerkingen: I was dropped into this system with no training, only having used other CRMs before, and found it overall intuitive to learn and blissfully glitch free - that is, it does what it is supposed to do, and even though it is missing some features I would like or we have to pay more than we want for certain features, I'm very grateful for such an overall reliable and easy to use system.

Pluspunten:

Having worked with many different CRMs, I appreciate how reliable EveryAction has been in terms of designing and sending emails to our base and in terms of tracking fundraising.

Minpunten:

They use alternative descriptions of common industry terms and it complicates learning the system at first. There are also certain features like "discount codes" that seem standard on other systems that are missing though the core capabilities are strong.

IndivisibleHoCoMD use of EveryAction

Opmerkingen: I find the overall use of this product positive. We have been able to put our many emails both weekly, bi weekly and monthly. Overall, our users like the emails and generally respond.

Pluspunten:

We are able to segment publications to specific voting areas. This helps keep our responses positive and limits communicating with others. I think it has directly helped our reader response rate. Sign up forms had a direct impact on our meeting planning. The drag and drop editor along with the email source is easy to use once you have tried it a few times. It is easy to understand the new features, as well. I find the color options and organization tools very effective for reader response to our emails.

Minpunten:

When you need to find a tool, sometimes it is cumbersome since the product offers so much that it is almost impossible to find the item. I have spent a lot of time scrolling through the Help from EveryAction to find answers. When adding photos to the emails, it is timely to scroll through all the other photos and find the one you added. It would help to be able to delete or archive some of the earlier pictures. I have to preface this comment as we are delegated the package from Indivisible.org. And have found some tools were not in that packaging.

Good tool for sending targeted emails

Pluspunten:

The software works in partnership with other platforms like zoom and mobilize which makes setting up events and publicizing them seamless. We use Bonterra Dev for mass emails with weekly calls to action for our membership. The emails look professional and allow us to add photos and other content when communicating with our groups. We can also create specific lists to focus communications when emailing from the database.

Minpunten:

The text generated portion of targeted emails is very clumsy and requires a lot of time and effort since the formatting puts one word on a line and runs down the page. I have to delete, cut and paste a lot to format it well. The emails won’t send with tracking links but the software doesn’t identify which link is the culprit. I have to manually check every link to find the one preventing the email from sending. Would love for the software to take me to the link that needs editing.

Best way to send targeted emails

Pluspunten:

I like how easy it is to send targeted emails directly from the database. I do not have to upload or move contacts, I can access it and even create exceptions directly from it.

Minpunten:

I would love better reporting, specially to find more specific things like folks who took 3 or more actions, instead of just making a list for folks who took at least one action

Excellent CRM for growing organizations

Opmerkingen: Through everything from complicated data transfer projects, staff trainings, to optimizing our donation forms - the EveryAction team has been an excellent technology partner for nearly 3 years. We're thrilled to keep working with EveryAction as they are constantly rolling out new features and improvements so we can provide our supporters with best-in-class emails and donation forms to support our cause.

Pluspunten:

My organization uses EveryAction primarily for its Fundraising and Digital features: donor management, user segmentation, targeted email, online donation forms, and reporting. It was our organization's first-ever donor database and an excellent investment for our team in our early days. As Comic Relief has grown, and as our digital strategies have become more sophisticated, we've been please to see EveryAction's product evolve and improve along with us. Highlights of the product include it's robust list creating feature, email editor, donation forms, and its reporting center. EveryAction also provides excellent all-around account management - no other vendor we've worked with has been this attentive to our needs and receptive to our feedback.

Minpunten:

We initially struggled to on-board members of our organization to use EveryAction - the produce was likely too sophisticated for staff members who are less tech savvy. In recent months though, we've seen tremendous improvements to their help documentation and webinar offerings which has allowed our staff to train themselves and get one-on-one support after nailing the basics.

The ActionTag online form system works great out of the box, and is fairly easy to customize if you want to fine-tune your user interfaces and flows
User management is made really easy with some powerful tools like quick role comparison and impersonation

Pluspunten:

The performance! Views load fast. Reports update fast. Contacts and user records save automatically for 80% of the attributes you update. And the "Create a List" interface is so performant that I use it just to answer idle questions about the constitution of our database (which is not small). I've used Salesforce a fair amount with a similar sized database; often running reports, you would enter in all the parameters, run it, and then go make a sandwich. Five minutes later, maybe it had run. I never even THINK about how long something will take to run anymore. It's great.

Minpunten:

Growing pains. EveryAction already does a lot, and their product team is expanding what it offers at a fine clip. As a result, features are often released with bugs and/or oversights that probably would have been caught in a more conservatively evolving platform. In a way, this is kind of a sneak Pro, because as long as you take new features with a few grains of salt, you benefit from a pretty agile development schedule. And most importantly, the bugs/oversights have always been functional; security, in my experience, has never been compromised in favor of progress.

An extensive and versatile tool!

Pluspunten:

We love how extensive EveryAction is. We're able to build extensive profiles for donors, volunteers, and supporters and create highly segmented lists as a result. There are so many tools to use, from reports to analytics, to phonebanks. We're excited about the development of automations and would love to see an option to include steps like texting or removing activist codes as well based on meeting search criteria. The interface is quite intuitive and easy to learn the more time you spend with it!

Minpunten:

I wish there were ways we could better integrate with google sheets, for example when someone submits a form on EveryAction we could send the info to a google sheet (besides ticketed events) or have the capacity for us to use a tool like Zapier. It's sometimes difficult to know how we could get more in-depth advice over the phone or zoom from EveryAction. Also the add-ons get quite pricey!

Great membership/donation management product

Opmerkingen: We've had a good experience using EveryAction. We don't use it to its fullest, and there are some add-ons that we've not purchased/ used that could help us further. They continue to add and update features to make the product easier to use.

Pluspunten:

Integration was easy and the product is generally not difficult to use. Especially now that they've added drag -and-drop functionality for the emails. So much easier. Great way to keep track of who is donating and target our emails appropriately.

Minpunten:

Some things are really clunky to use and the help info isn't always current or comprehensive. However, the emails to support are always answered quickly and usually resolved simply.

EveryAction - powerful, and can be difficult to use

Opmerkingen: As an integrated solution for organizing, fundraising, and outreach, it's really hard to beat EveryAction. I have not used the other products. I am in accounting, so mainly use the donation tools for recognizing and managing income. I have done some troubleshooting with the wider team, however, and would use EveryAction again if i moved to a different organization.

Pluspunten:

EveryAction is a large and complex database system that can be highly customized. As flexible as it is, it can be difficult to know which parameters affect which queries. EveryAction is the gold standard, and it's great when there is already a power user on the team. Without an EveryAction power user on the team, some amount of skilling up is necessary.

Minpunten:

It's a complex database and as mentioned in "pros" it can be difficult to know which parameters affect which fields. There is a lot of help documentation--but that too can be a con, getting to the correct article can be difficult. EveryAction help is very good--the help team did some one:one trainings for our team and they were fantastic.

Great Tool for Fundraising

This software allows for case management of every data point that we use for our fundraising activates. The ease of data entry and retrieval save our staff countless hours.

It takes a while to get used to all of the options. There is so much that one can do with EveryAction that initially it can feel overwhelming getting acquainted with it.

Excellent CRM

Opmerkingen: Overall, the CRM is a joy to work with. Most of the time, everything works seamlessly. The ability to create emails and form is very easy to learn and excel at.

Pluspunten:

EveryAction is an incredibly user-friendly CRM with excellent email and form building, great source code building, great segmentation tools, and very useful reporting-making tools. The ability to track community engagement, the ease-of-use and the attractive interface make EveryAction (which I use daily) incredibly helpful in my content creation and reporting.

Minpunten:

EA reports are very good with one exception: I'd like a state-by-state breakdown of emails sent to recipients. Right now, I cannot easily find out how many emails the average person in California received from us. EveryAction should allow for local/state email counting.

Great User Experience for Admins and Constituents

Opmerkingen: Overall, it is a very clean and user-friendly database for both the admins and constituents. The only downside is that it was built for political organizations who canvass or phone bank, but they are working on making it more friendly and easier for non-profit organizations who do not fit that category.

Pluspunten:

Very easy to use and figure out system for the administrators and for the outside constituents. They have a robust reporting and infographics feature that helps you keep up on top of your goals and progress monetarily or with responses to forms/emails. The forms are very easy to build and use, with a clean look. The software has a lot of built in features which are great if your organization is politically active: makes lots of phone calls, uses a lot of volunteers, does a lot of canvassing. Additionally, the platform would be beneficial for a non-profit who wants to track their donations/fundraising and emailing easily in a system. The price is good for us since it is based on the number of contacts in your database, not the number of users.

Minpunten:

As a membership organization who hosts a lot of events for our members, the systems are somewhat in place to meet our needs, but we need to do a lot of manual labor or pay extra fees to get the systems to work to fit all our needs. That being said, as the platform is seeking a broader audience of non-profits, they are starting to embed and automate the tasks we are currently doing manually or paying extra for.

Modernized, nice looking communications.
Increased engagement with volunteers.
Superior analytics.

Pluspunten:

EveryAction has modernized our communications in many ways. The most important improvement for us a nationwide advocacy organization has been the uniquely easy way that EAction helps us track and analyze our volunteer engagement. We are most excited about the event management and recruitment potential of EveryAction, and the possibility of unifying and bringing most of our digital communications under one tool.

Minpunten:

Depending on your working and learning style,, you will either like the fact that EAction seems to constantly evaluate and/or add new/improved features, or you will probably feel unsettled by the changes. Either way, you will want to spend more time upfront watching the video tutorials or at least have a plan to ask for more training in order to understand the basic features, which remain largely unchanged. You may also want to be more proactive with seeking tech support.

Excellent tool for managing donor data for large non-prof organization

Pluspunten:

The implementation team was absolutely fantastic. Being able to manage multi channel donations such as direct mail and online, major donor data, grants, and reporting data all in one place is a game changer.

Minpunten:

The variety of choices can be overwhelming, and sometimes support tickets are answered by more junior staff (so can be less accurate). Pipeline documentation is really not good, API could use significant revamp as well.
