It's also priced very fairly and their customer service is attentive, responsive and helpful.
I sometimes struggle with the reporting aspect of this software as I was not provided any formal training.

The customer service is great. A bit slow - no one is there when you call - but they call you back, are very friendly and very thorough
Pluspunten:
1. Implementation consists....of a few minutes of work with the support team to get going 2. They can do a data conversion fairly quickly. 3. Learning to get started in it in is fast and intuitive. Then, as you learn more about it and figure out how to do things better, you can change what you do - and your prior work is not completely messed up! 4. Integration with my company website and with job boards is simply fantastic

A Great Product in the Making
Opmerkingen: My overall impression of Crelate is that its a very ambitious and powerful potential tool that is still in its early phases of trying to be everything it wants to be. I see the vision for how it is completely set apart from other systems, and am fully on board with where it's going.However, as I've mentioned, we've recognized a steady occurrence of bugs or design implementations that often set us back in what we're trying to accomplish in our day to day efforts. Have voiced many of these either to our account manager (when important enough) or via the feedback boards to try to gain movement on them, but understandably, can only implement so much at once, and we are just one of many clients.
Pluspunten:
Crelate offers us, as an Executive Recruiting Firm, the ability to stand out in what and how we present to our clients. The customizability of the workflows, reporting, and process implementation are unlike any other system we've worked with or demoed in the past, and I have a lot of confidence that this will set us apart in the future.
Minpunten:
In our (roughly) 1 year on the product, despite steady improvements and feature rollouts, there seems to be just a few pieces missing that would really accelerate the ease of use of the product on a basic user level. Things like searching would be much easier if we were able to have default search templates, for example. Or when we go to do certain searches, we notice a search parameter doesn't work quite the way we want, or can't quite do exactly what we intended it to do. Sequencing and reporting features are wonderful ideas that just have small executional problems that create small but frustrating holes in what you're trying to accomplish. For example a lot is tracked in reporting around leads, but we discovered a small problem where Leads (due to converting into Jobs at certain stage changes) can't be put into the same "Cancelled" sales stages as jobs. So to get around it we create additional "Lead Closed" stages that bog down the options for sales stages, when the ideal option would be to just have a single "Closed" or "Cancelled" stage for all Leads and Jobs that doesn't convert anything.It almost seems that in the ambition to be good at 100 things at once, there end up being few features of the system that aren't really fleshed out to factor in as many case scenarios as you'd like.I feel like it will get there, but as it stands, I see areas where the product is suffering from either bugs or small design implementations that disadvantage the day to day recruiter.

CRM is lacking
Opmerkingen: In terms of a CRM, Crelate lacks advanced search and sort capabilities. In certain areas, you can only sort lists of clients and contacts by most recent date. Their mass email limits are really oppressive, and selecting lists to mass email is difficult. They also created a TON of duplicates during our data integration process. We had to do a lot of manual work to categorize sales contacts vs candidates. I can't get a good call flow because every time I log an activity on a sales contact, the entire list re-sorts by most recent activity date. I then have to find where I left off, which can be hundreds of rows down by that point. Creating lists is aggravating because I can only add sales contacts to email campaigns in batches of 100, and even then, there is a bug that keeps showing the original quantity of contacts from the list, so I can't tell how many more times I need to click to the next page and add the next 100 sales contacts.

It integrates pretty well with RingCentral for click-to-dial
Minpunten:
During our demo process, we were told by two people that we can send an unlimited number of emails a day. They don't tell you that they mean an unlimited number of INDIVIDUAL one-off emails. I told them the quantity of emails I need to send on a daily/weekly basis and they said they can handle it. This was untrue.
Useful but Cluttered
Opmerkingen: I think Crelate is an okay alternative to Avionte, but its cluttered setup makes it difficult to adapt to.
Pluspunten:
Mass emails, bulk texts, and easily access templates for all is perfect. The map options when doing radius searches of clients or candidates is great once you figure out how to access it.
Minpunten:
I had the activity feed and wish I could remove it or filter it so I only see my activity. The cluttered appearance of the app is frustrating as well, making it hard to access when using a smaller screen. Ring Central isn't integrated properly and can be unresponsive or will ring at random when no calls are coming in. RC isn't very accessible friendly within Crelate and is easier to use outside of the browser, but you're still getting duplicate calls/text/notifications from all. The radius search is complicated to access and should be available within a list - it's frustrating to have to double back multiple times to get back to the list I was on. Candidate updates and movement on lists is frustrating - I'm making calls to 150+ people and any updates made to a candidate profile will remove them to another portion of the list which can make tracking who I've called while I'm making the calls very complicated. Imported candidates often have missing information despite it being clearly noted on their resume. Resume imports have so many errors it's often easier to import manually. Past jobs import as being current and there doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason to it. Your Chrome extension isn't great - I'll try to import a LinkedIn profile and the current employment dates disappear when I try to select the employer (because Crelate NEVER pulls that information correctly).
Great for Track Perm and Contract Hires
Opmerkingen: Overall Crelate has addressed all of our hiring needs as an applicant tracking platform and I recommend other staffing agencies to use it.
Pluspunten:
I like Crelate applicant tracking because I can manage tracking temporary staff as well as perm staff in comparison to other systems. In addition, Crelate has so many onboarding features included with a CRM. It's really a one stop shop. They also have a way to send out bulk email campaigns and text messaging to candidates and clients. Customer service is always available to assist and they provide weekly ongoing training to ensure users are getting acclimated with the system. Highly recommend
Minpunten:
The system is not as seamless as other systems. I believe they can improve on the email campaign feature, and making the system less complicated to move candidates along in the hiring process. But overall I really love using the product.

Crelate is very visual which we love, it's also very customizable so it is very easy to edit our system to adjust where we need it. Support is fantastic, they are quick and follow up frequently to make sure everything is resolved.
Minpunten:
We do often have little glitches but they are very minor and usually just require a page refresh.

Crelate is Awesome!

What is there not to love? Crelate is super intuitive and customizable. I love how everything can as zoomed out or zoomed into the details as you want. The job postings are super quick and easy, and really help with our passive sourcing.
Minpunten:
I haven't really found many areas where I feel Crelate is lacking. One issue I have occasionally is the Crelate extension will stop working out of nowhere and the only way I've found to get it to work again is to uninstall and reinstall the extension. This doesn't happen that often though and isn't too hard of a workaround fix.
User friendly system

Crelate is a smart tool that has an easy flow to set up, manipulate and make work for both the recruiting side and sales functions.
Minpunten:
Integrating with additional resume databases would be beneficial, having the ability to link with additional sales software, like Apollo would be nice.

19 Years of Recruiting w several ATS's and Crelate is the VERY FIRST one I can say I LOVE!
Opmerkingen: My experience with Crelate has been the best experience above all others. I tried Exelare and CEIPAL in 2021 when deciding on a new ATS. The customer support was below par and the only way you could get trained was to schedule long 1 hour meetings in the middle of your day (and the support person's English was difficult to understand). Exelare had a very limited help/knowledge base. With Crelate, they have Chat Support with EXCELLENT, KNOWLEDGABLE Support Reps who respond within 1 to 4 hours, and they PROBLEM SOLVE with you. The Crelate team really cares about your success with their ATS. They have an active Feedback website where you can easily provide feedback - and they use this feedback to make changes and implement updates multiple times a year. They also notify you personally if your feedback was implemented. The ATS keeps getting better and better. They listen to what the customer needs/wants. After using dozens of ATS's over the years, I've learned that the #1 feature you should evaluate is the quality of their Customer Support. Crelate is five stars when it comes to fast, quality, problem-solving support.
Pluspunten:
Very visual and customizable. #1 is their AMAZING CUSTOMER SUPPORT. You can also hire their Professional Services/Product team for a very small monthly fee for one-on-one video meeting support when you have a complex concept you're trying to implement into Crelate.
Minpunten:
I wish there was a modular, visual "Dashboard" that incorporated some AI technology that would help detect lapsed activities, and it could be customized based on user type (Executive, Recruiter, Salesperson, etc.)
Best ATS for recruiting firms!
Opmerkingen: I couldn't be more happy with the transition to Crelate from our previous product. Their team truly understands the problems we are trying to solve and is extremely responsive. Their feature set continues to increase rapidly and is always very relevant.
Pluspunten:
Several items: - ease of configuration and customization - profile parsing from LinkedIn - job board management / website integration - email sync and candidate communication management - analytics - speed and relevance of new feature release - extensive help resources, training videos, etc.
Minpunten:
- exporting data is not straightforward and requires additional vendor developer cost -

Intuitive Powerful Software
Pluspunten:
We were one of the first users of Crelate and it has really done wonders for my billing and productivity. It is clean, intuitive and extremely user-friendly. The customer service is rapid and patient. It can be used for simplistic applicant tracking to powerful data-searching and captures a ton of important information. I would be lost without it and cannot imagine who we operated pre-Crelate.

I wish that we had the option to gray out positions when they're on "hold" or not hot anymore.

Opmerkingen: Overall, I love Crelate. I know I am getting one of the best quality and innovative recruiting platforms with Crelate. Their service is also amazing. As a recruiting firm owner with many years of experience, I've used Bullhorn and SalesForce at larger / national staffing firms, and I can say Crelate is just right for my growing business.
Pluspunten:
I like how easy this software is to use. The front-end UI remains simple, while sophisticated flexibility and features are behind. I am consistently surprised at how much I can customize and tweak the system to reflect my team's recruiting process. It saves me so much more time overall.
Minpunten:
There are a few features I dream about like adding a checklist and somehow magically syncing with my calendar, as well as it does email, etc. I am not worried as they are constantly improving the software with new features even those features I didn't know I needed it.

Review of Crelate ATS
Opmerkingen: Lack luster. It get the job done most of the time, but would like to see a more robust product offering and user friendly UI.
Pluspunten:
Quick and easy to deploy compared to competitors in the market. Easier to administer than similar products.
Minpunten:
Product support is lacking. Very difficult to get the support when you need it, and there is limited training information available. There pricing is on the high side for the level of product you get. The UI feels and looks very dated and is not as intuitive as some of their direct competitors.

Crelate Intuitive Easy to Learn ATS
Opmerkingen: Great. Easy to use and to train people with but the best part of it is that it is intuitive. We did not receive training on it so I had to figure a lot out by asking support and training the others.
Pluspunten:
You can search and find anything so easily. Even if something is mislabeled/categorized it is never lost because of the excellent search function. Past ATS systems I have used the search was not reliable when it came to words on the resume but Crelate is
Minpunten:
The Reports. The software would be perfect if there was an effective way to grab individual reports for recruiters within our company based on splits on fees. We have account managers, recruiters and sources all who take part of each placement. The reports do not have an option to deal with this yet but I have asked in the help before and they are looking to add this so that is exciting.

A simple user friendly system!
Opmerkingen: Overall, Crelate is very simple to use! I have used many many ATS and CRM's within the recruiting world and Crelate is by far the easiest system to use!
Pluspunten:
Crelate is extremely easy to use! It tracks your searches from lead to completion, with a highlight and drop process as you move from stage to stage. The system design allows you to be able at any time to track where you are in a role . As a Manager, it allows me to easily identify on a daily basis how my team is spending their time. The reporting functions are excellent!
Minpunten:
For business development, the system will not allow you to add two names to an activity at a time. If I have had a meeting with 3 people I have to put the note in 3 times , under each person.

Good, not great
Opmerkingen: We are solving the problem of communication between offices. It allows everyone to know where each job is at in the process of hiring.
Pluspunten:
I like how easy it is to navigate and use the software. Putting each candidate into each job that they're potentially interviewing for makes it easy to communicate with people that might be in a different office.
Minpunten:
My least favorite part is not knowing about all of the features available. We went through the initial demo with a salesperson but haven't really kept up with all of it.

Crelate is top notch. It is BY FAR the best recruiting platform for agencies that I've used or tested. The product is highly customizable to your needs and has a ton of features. Better yet, the Crelate team is constantly hard at work building & releasing new features that improve usability and functionality. It's also priced very fairly and their customer service is attentive, responsive and helpful.
Minpunten:
I really don't have many complaints about Crelate. It works well and is virtually bug free. If there is one con it's that the platform is not tailored to executive search processes. However, we stretched it for this purpose and never found ourselves wanting.

Opmerkingen: Overall my experience has been good. Anytime I have had a question I always received a thorough answer quickly.
Pluspunten:
It is very intuitive. It was easy to pick up. When I wanted to find something, the most logical place to find the answer was where the answer was.
Minpunten:
I don't not like how the systems don't talk to each. If I upload a fee agreement to a specific job, I want it to also upload into the company's file. When I add a website file in the job, I would want it to also upload to the company page so I am not duplicating my efforts. Also the address for individuals and company's is all American, I would like it to also populate for Canada.

I really like it!
I find it much easier /more intuitive than our old system.
I love the tile lay-out in the Search Dashboard.
That really helps me see what I need to do and who I need to follow up with quickly.
Very happy so far!

I love the brief video tutorials and outlines of how to do everything! You can look up exactly what you want to do and find a 3 minute video to show you how to do it. You don't have to listen to a 30 minute webinar. They also have diagrams to walk you through it. They have it broken down nicely for you.
Minpunten:
So this could be user error (on my part)...But I do not find it easy to toggle back and forth between candidate documents. For example, I may want to have a candidate's CV open as well as their cover letter as well as the job spec notes for the position I want to discuss. I can't seem to have all three open and toggle back and forth in Crelate. I have to download each one and then do my toggling in Word.

Wow, what a rich review. Thank you. I agree, webinars are good for big pictures, but when trying to get work done- short tutorial videos are where its at. Your idea for having multiple documents open for viewing is a good one. I am going to see if I can task a developer to look into that for future improvement. Daily Use
Opmerkingen: Overall so far Crelate has been a decent CRM - ATS I would just say be cautions when migrating and ask lots of questions as you go!
Pluspunten:
Crelate offers many features and there are multiple ways to work in the system making it much easier to taylor to each users specific liking.
Minpunten:
When merging into Crelate it will create companies for "past employers" which HIGHLY increased the number of inactive companies we not have mixed in with our data.
I learn something new about Crelate every day
Opmerkingen: Overall, it has gotten better and better over time. I have been using it for over two years now and I look forward to the updates to see what new features or improvements have been implemented.
Pluspunten:
Crelate has recently added a feature which allows you to create an activity on multiple contacts at one time. This is something I have been waiting for! They ask for feedback, listen and then implement new features on a regular basis!
Minpunten:
Too frequently, there are multiple profiles of the same contact. Also, when you import a resume it creates a company based on the most recent employer on the resume; unfortunately, since people call the same company many things, you have different profiles for the same company.

I am so happy that the bulk activity feature is what you were wanting (we are pleased with it too). Our development team took the comments and suggestions to heart when designing it. The creation of multiple records can certainly be frustrating. Please contact our support team, 443-569-8262 Ext. 2, and they will try and help you configure the duplicate detection to mitigate this issue.
Clean, simple, powerful, great for external exec search

What do you like best?
beautiful design, clean, simple CRM interface. lots of customization available for the admin (like enabling custom workflow stages and names of stages that we define we can change ourselves). amazing Crelate team: dev team & customer service team are super responsive to questions, requests for help and product features, and training on demand. the product has so far managed not to get too 'heavy' like most recruiting tools eventually tend to to when trying to be all things to all people. Crelate works best in my opinion for boutique external firm (vendors) who need to be able to easily customize things, and not for internal (corporate).
What do you dislike?
the product is still young so it's obviously a work in progress. this is not a criticism; we signed up post-beta knowing there would be iteration but well worth the trade off because we have influence as the product matures. we love having this opportunity. search tools and results, (ranking, relevance) need to be better and this is also a work in progress. all of the things that could be better are things the team is aware of and are addressing with each new release. weekly office hour for all users with a customer service rep would be awesome (via joinme or zoom or whatever tool). the current solution is a candidate relationship management solution, but there is not yet a great client relationship management feature or a workflow that supports business development / prospecting/ sales process but i would love that some day.
Recommendations to others considering the product
if you are a recruiting firm looking for a solution, i highly recommend crelate. we love this solution!

we are executive recruiters. so we solve one-of-a-kind talent searches for our clients. every search we do is custom designed within Crelate : our Crelate enables us identify people that we already know of (through search, or through affiliation with another project, etc) , and helps us easily import data on new candidates into one new project . We can see what conversations we've had with candidates in the past and outcomes of those. we can move candidates through the workflow and activities of a search project logically, using our unique labels & language.
