ServiceTrade allows us to integrate our sales and quoting with our implementation and delivery of our services seamlessly to our customers.
Minpunten:
The onboarding could have been a little more clear with how we should set up our assets with our recurring services. We had to make multiple attempts at getting the assets set up correctly in the beginning.

Only management system you will ever need.
Opmerkingen: I use ServiceTrade every day of the week. It has become an extension of my business and I appreciate the software & team greatly!
Pluspunten:
Service allows me to use our own documentation (reporting) and keep track of all aspects of our business. By far the most valuable tool that we use.
Minpunten:
I do not like that the order the blank reports are uploaded, is the way they remain forever in the system. It would be nice to make changes to my reports, and replace existing blank reports or move the order of them in the system.

Don't trust this software with your business's vital processes

We used ServiceTrade for over 6 years for all aspects of our fire alarm business. It was a great software at the beginning.
That being said, they have made too many updates that were not properly tested, and the end result is a software that just doesn't work anymore. They are no longer a high quality product, but continue to charge as if they were.
If you use ServiceTrade for all of your business's processes- installation, work order tracking, recurring service work, invoicing, profitability tracking, timecards, inventory management- you will be extremely disappointed in the result.
Pluspunten:
This software is user friendly. Your field staff will like the UI- either through the cell phone or a tablet. Very customer friendly. Automated emails with custom links is terrific. Overall their product looks great on the surface, and the presentation is top notch.
Minpunten:
This software is EXPENSIVE. There are much more cost efficient alternatives that perform just as well. Major updates are frequently rolled out without notice, and have a huge impact on your processes. Each update results in more bugs, and have a cumulative negative result on the performance of the software. Updates also effect the app, so field staff are constantly having issues, and have to delete/reinstall the software. Data is extremely difficult to mine (and yes, it costs extra to access that data). Determining how your techs perform, gross profit for projects, sales numbers are almost impossible to gather, and is often inaccurate once you figure out how to run the report. This software does not handle different tax rates, and will result in you charging the wrong rates to your customers, costing you money. Every feature costs more money- and the features frequently do not work as intended. (Timecards, recurring invoicing are major disappointments)

Opmerkingen: From our introduction to almost 2 years later Service Trade has been reliable and trustworthy partner to help us achieve our business goals. The additional features and offerings they have introduced proves they are dedicated to helping us succeed.
Pluspunten:
The ease for our clients to access information about upcoming and past servie visits along with information by each of their assets has been a differentiator. Our service support team and servie technicians praise Service Trade because it is much easier to use compared to our previous software.
Minpunten:
Flexibility with tasking forms is not the greatest but manageable, Servie Trade is being a great partner by listening to us along with working with us to improve this. Integration to our existing ERP doesn’t exist but Servie Trade has worked closely with us to deploy alternative methods.

ServiceTrade Has Transformed Our Business
Opmerkingen: Before using ServiceTrade we were using emailing of PDF forms on iPads to manage all our of jobs. Having ServiceTrade took our business to a whole new level and allowed us to expand into multiple offices.
Pluspunten:
ServiceTrade has a great product that is intuitive to use. Since we subscribed 4 years ago they have continued to expand on the capabilities with updates to the software every 2-4 weeks. They are very responsive to requests for features and the customer support is super friendly and helpful. They integrate with key software companies to expand their functionality (like Intacct and Quickbooks) and they have a great API and integration with Zapier.
Minpunten:
I hope they can continue to accelerate the addition of new features. There are a lot of companies out there trying to solve the same problems. I haven't seen anyone providing better value yet but I hope ServiceTrade stays ahead of the competition because whoever has the best software to manage their business will hold a significant advantage int he marketplace and we would like to stay with ServiceTrade. Switching software is a pain!

Opmerkingen: I love all the problems this software was able to solve. I am secure in knowing that customer service will always take care of my issues. I love the fact that training is available as well as a well-regulated wiki.
Pluspunten:
The customer service and the company that designs and runs the software. I love the fact that I was able to go paperless.
Minpunten:
Like any complex software, there is a learning curve when implementing. Also, buying this software does not address every aspect of running a service business. For example, live messaging or phone service.

Opmerkingen: Overall its revamped the way we do business and has vastly improved the accuracy in which we do things. Checking history or creating quotes is much faster and has cut down on time. Being able to look over all things done within time frames is great for tracking techs and productivity.
Pluspunten:
I like the history and scheduling components most. We use it as our main interface for the company and 90% of what we do is all done through service trade and service trade add ons
Minpunten:
Problems with information being added to jobs on occasion is frustrating, some problems with getting things on or off of invoices when transferring from a job.

Currently, the customers previous billings have a job type but when it comes to repairs, the ability to sort through more details on the customer page without having to click each prior job would be really helpful

ServiceTrade is easy to use for everyone in our company. This includes field technicians on the mobile app, schedulers, billers, managers, sales, and corporate users. ServiceTrade helps us track recurring services so that inspections are not missed. With deficiency tracking, they make it simple to quote repairs as soon as they're located and get the issues resolved for customers more quickly. The Service Portal for customers allows them to see their inspection reports, photos, job history, and upcoming appointments at a glance.Their support team is always friendly, quick with their responses, and helpful. Behind the scenes, their developers work quickly and thoroughly to ensure that new features are built as requested, tested, and then rolled out with minimal errors.
Minpunten:
It would be nice for the mobile app and web versions to automatically log users out after a certain period of inactivity. We have found that some technicians have not logged out in several months, which is usually the root cause of mobile app glitches they experience.

How simple the project was to work through whether on a computer in the office or on a phone / tablet in the field.
Minpunten:
Pulling reports for open work orders could be easier to avoid calls getting lost week over week and invoicing falling behind.

I have really enjoyed being able to organize our technicians schedules with ease and all of the history and information we are able to accumulate in this system. Everything you need to know about a customer and a job is always at your finger tips.
Minpunten:
Parts Ledger has been a pain majority of the time. The "mobile app" is great for getting PO's easily but it gets stuck all the time and glitches all the time. It stops working all the time and the process of reversing or editing a PO is too complicated.

Office Under Control...thanks to Service Trade
Opmerkingen: I started working at our family business in January of 2015. I was going to assist the ladies in the office and learn how to do their work, so when they were out sick or on vacation, their work would continue to be completed and they wouldn't be bombarded when they returned to their office. Well, after three months of working three days a week, I took over the management of the office and both ladies left our company. I was shocked at how inefficient the office staff was running the office. Now, thanks to Service Trade, the office is under control. I love the way you can schedule the jobs and make the service recurring, so you don't miss out on the opportunity to service your customer in a timely manner. We add the price to the job so the tech does not have to call us every time he is unsure of the price! This feature has been great for the new techs who haven't learned our pricing structure yet. I do not know how we conducted business before Service Trade, well yes I do....very inefficiently! At first, I was very overwhelmed with the system. The training was full of so much information that my head was spinning! But now after a few mini learning sessions, I consider it easy to use and understand. The quality of the product is the BEST!! So many features are available, that I still don't use all of them. My favorite feature is the connection with Quick Books. The invoices transfer to QB and we just add the invoice number and e-mail it to the customer! No more waiting for the techs to return to the office with hand written invoices for us to enter in QB. We just added the inspection reports to the system, so now we have very nice, clean , easy to read inspection reports from our techs entering the information in the system. Gone are the days of the paper inspection forms that come back to us all dirty, torn and unorganized. The guys at Service Trade are great! Any time I have a problem, it is solved in a timely manner. I've contacted them via the web, e-mail and by phone. They are always willing to assist me with my crazy questions! The money that we paid for Service Trade is worth it! I wouldn't run my office without it. Thanks Service Trade for making my transition to working full time a better experience than it would have been without you!

Service Trade is Easy to Use
Opmerkingen: I use Service Trade every day to quote, for customer service, for scheduling, for review of jobs, for quality control, etc. It easy to use and you can access it from anywhere. It's great!
Pluspunten:
How easy it is to use. You can use Service Trade for all aspects of a job, from quoting to job management.
Minpunten:
I haven't found a way to have site photos appear on every job created for that site.

Opmerkingen: Over all I am very happy with service trade. I am building a kitchen department and without it I would be very time consuming.
Pluspunten:
Everyday use and tracking of jobs is user friendly. The reminders for services due is critical to cash flow. The bid system allows us to quickly secure jobs and manage them. Our customers can easily see the photos and reports to justify the expense of keeping their fire systems compliant,
Minpunten:
I do not not like the canned responses from the service team. I am very busy and when I need help I do not have time to read an article. For the money we spend on this system I feel a live person should help not refer me to an article.

Opmerkingen: from the steps to input a service call in the office to dispatching and closing it out the ease of operations and the information provided my the techs fir billing makes the entire process more efficient and profitable. Could never go back to the old way of doing things

ease of use not only for office personnel inputing projects but the ease fr the in there field service personnel, this is where the biggest benefit and savings come in, the field guys grasp on the ease if use and because of the ease of use they bought into it and enjoy using it.

No real Cons just know that they are constantly tweaking and modifying to improve

Very resourceful easy to function
Opmerkingen: There are several benefits our company gets from this software. It stores our jobs and details, our technicians use it to track where they are to go. We store special notes and comments that helps with invoicing. It helps the executives with gross profits margins. We track parts and labor hours and job details.

Easy to navigate around the software. I can search for customers using different variations of the name of business and/or the address of the location.
Minpunten:
The only thing that I do not care for to much is the tagging feature. If one job is tagged that tag sticks to customer each time a job is set. I.E a customer may be tagged to have a PO for a specific job and maybe the next doesn't need a PO because it was under the dollar value. The PO tag sticks to that customer each time insinuating that the job needs a PO when it not necessarily the case.

Opmerkingen: Service Trade is an asset for any company, big or small. I have worked using many other company, electronic based tracking tools, but none as extensive as Service Trade. Service Trade can do it all, quoting, deficiency tracking, pictures and work acknowledgements. The comment section is very useful for field technicians to keep track of the trends at any customer site. I utilize the tablet version, and the smartphone version. It would be great if signatures were available to be captured on the smartphone app as well.
Pluspunten:
Its user friendly, its an asset to any company, of any size. It helps save paper and helps save time with its ability to capture images. It also make turn around time to send out quotes 10 times faster as the deficiency section is real time, even before a tech leaves a site.
Minpunten:
On the Mobile phone version, technicians can't capture customer signatures.

Our technicians all use the software to clock in to jobs, make notes and take pictures of jobs, and maintain records for each customer. This easy to use online software allows for us to quote customers and track service progress easily between the office and on the field.

This software is great, the only issue our techs have experienced is in areas with poor cell service.

Great Package!
Opmerkingen: As a Service Company, we use many different aspects of the ServiceTrade system to run our business. I work in the Sales Department, and I can speak best to what it has provided us. The Quoting side has been a huge improvement to what we were doing previously and after 8 months of using ST, we have doubled our overall Quote Closing Percentages and the numbers are improving every month. The folks at ST are always looking to improve the system and will continue to make tweaks to put a better product out there. Great work!

Overall good product. Could use some improvements on the Quoting side - Repairs vs. Inspections and things.
Minpunten:
Has glitches. Often times I will enter customer information in and then return to the customer to find it different than I had entered it in originally. Routine Service Schedules seem to be changing and I fear that we may end up not providing service as promised due to a hiccup.

Price. Need to better accommodate larger projects (large number of tasks and several thousand hours). Would love to include a crm software not for intergration but part of the platform. Sales force?
