Pluspunten:

The screens are clean and crisp and very easy to read.

Minpunten:

Nothing.... I love the software. It is simple to use and all of the reports are at your fingertips.

PayClock is a lifesaver.

Opmerkingen: Overall, this is a very useful application for tracking employee time. Especially for those we don't see often, it is nice that the reports sum up the weekly information and allows for easy editing if changes are needed.

Pluspunten:

We love how PayClock allows us to keep all punch ins and outs in one place, while also giving us the ability to record any absences. It is easy to print reports, and it is very handy to print the weekly times and give them to the employees for approval.

Minpunten:

The system is very finicky. For us, if you forget to close a prior pay period, it won't accurately display the most recent punch times. It seems to resolve after you fix the mistake, but it seems like an unnecessary function for the capacity we use PayClock Online in.

Payclock Online keeps crashing

Opmerkingen: They have the right idea but don't have enough resources to keep the software a smooth running machine. Customers will take reliability over bells and whistles with software. Supposedly they have been in business for 100 years but they won't be much longer if these crashing issues are persistent in the future.

Pluspunten:

When it's working, the website and software is fairly intuitive and has decent reports that I use for payroll. They have a mobile app available which comes in handy for our truckers who are always on the road and don't have the option to punch in at a physical Payclock terminal.

Minpunten:

The past 2 payroll periods have been in jeopardy of being delayed because Payclock Online was down, and their website crashed. The most recent incident where the site was down, it took a day and a half to get back up and running.

Former Payclock User

Opmerkingen: Overall, I really liked using it. It made calculating payroll hours very easy. We just could not work out what was causing the clocks to go blank. For years we used it with no problems. So could be that there was an issue with power surges in our building that caused it.

Pluspunten:

Ease of use. Track all aspects of time keeping. Pull detailed reports for all kind of time tracking. I liked that it differentiated regular hours from overtime hours.

Minpunten:

We used facial recognition for time tracking. We started to have trouble where time clock would go blank and not read. Customer support was very helpful and tried several times to figure out our problem. Switched out several time clocks. But ultimately we could not figure out why it would continue to do that. Could have something to do with the power in our building, but couldn't be certain.

Easy to use!

Pluspunten:

It's simple, just a matter of clicking a few buttons.

Minpunten:

More features would be nice, sometimes it times out.

PayClock Saves Time

Opmerkingen: Because I am able to access the program no matter where I am, I am able to correct problems employees may have had forgetting to clock in. I don't have to be onsite to take care of problems. It makes so much easier to use the program.

Pluspunten:

Employees are aware that they are responsible for clocking in/out on the online application and if that doesn't happen then they need to notify me so I can keep their hours of compensation accurate. The system readily shows you who hasn't completed their time card which saves you time having to review punch cards, etc. It also allows you to keep track of PTO and allows for notation of how it was used. They system stores the data so you have it for future reference if you need it.

Minpunten:

If you are unaware of what the program has to offer or cannot figure out how to use it, the CSRs are great and walk you through the program step by step so you can use it and/or learn to apply it to your business.

Great timeclock solution with web login and functional phone app

Opmerkingen: I bought a Lathem clock at a local retailer to move from paper time cards to actual time punches for my 24x7x365 department. Based on people who penciled in 40 hours with 30 minute lunches, a few minutes here and there added up quickly, especially for after hours personnel. After this paid for itself in my department, it was implemented company wide to dozens of locations, and has made our hourly pay much more accurate than previous on a large scale. I know when I really have to dig to find issues with software that the solution is a really good one.

Pluspunten:

A ton of features like schedules, pay rates, reporting, employee profiles with available phone apps for users and administrators. I called their very helpful and knowledgeable customer service department when migrating and they were able to walk me through a couple speedbumps in importing our local instance to their cloud solution.

Minpunten:

I really have to dig to find cons here. Sometimes people who work overnight require I move a punch from one day to another. I haven't called customer support about the one person this happens with so this is a stretch. I ran into some challenges with reporting on employees who moved from hourly to salary, so I had to make an hourly and salary profile, and move their badge between them to maintain historical reporting. Seriously minor quibbles when looking at the whole package. This is a great piece of software for sure!

Very Useful

Pluspunten:

The platform is very flexible, either desktop or mobile app is very easy to install, maintain and use.

Minpunten:

The Quickbooks integration can be difficult if you have multiple Quickbooks companies.

Payclock is great

Opmerkingen: It has made our lives here easier by allowing us to get work done from any computer at any time and allowing employees multiple ways to clock in from work.

Pluspunten:

It makes it easier for us to track our staff hours and offers us a lot of ways to clock in, via phone, online or using our time clock. Employees can clock in with ease and our HR department can log in to keep things straight at any time from any computer.

Minpunten:

The time clock still has to stay connected to one computer to work and when that disconnects everything gets messed up. I am not sure this is a software problem though.

PayClock offers an impressive software and hardware solution for employees and managers.

Opmerkingen: Online access to data for management and employees. Automated tracking of clock in/out. Employees can access PTO info from mobile devices.

Pluspunten:

It's a cloud based solution with well designed screens. Numerous configuration options are available. It's easy for employees to log it using the mobile app and check their time logs and PTO.

Minpunten:

First-time set up is very time consuming but that is the nature of the beast. You cannot schedule reports to run automatically.

Straightforward, Simple, Reliable

Pluspunten:

The software is very simple to set up, use and connection to the terminals is quick. Associated documentation is thorough and logically laid out. If assistance is needed from Lathem, the customer service personnel are knowledgeable and go the extra step to help the customer. Software features are impressive and reporting functions are top notch.

Minpunten:

If there is a forgotten time punch by an employee that goes undetected for a few days, it can be a challenge to put the time records into the spatial columns that they belong.

Pluspunten:

Reports are very functional and date range selection is nice. The ability to change departments on the fly is much more convenient than other software I have used.

Minpunten:

I takes awhile to find all the function buttons.

Payclock Review in Medical Practice

Opmerkingen: I do not worry about time clock issues as I know the equipment and software is reliable.

Pluspunten:

Very accurte, easy to use and I can work anywhere including home to get the numbers I need.

Minpunten:

If an employee forgets to check-in in the morning then checks out for lunch, back in for the afternoon, and out for the end of the day, you must reenter ALL the data to go back to enter when they came in. Takes more time then we should

Oversold & Under performs - Be careful!!

Opmerkingen: Be careful and know what you are buying. Unfortunately, this is a case of, they'll tell you what you want to hear until they have your money. System will not handle accruals. Was told it would and Lathem set my accruals up. At the first of the year my accruals stopped working and their answers was, Oh, sorry, we can't do that. As long as everything is working it's a pretty good system but support is shaky at best. They have a few good support people but most are pretty week. Don't bother leaving a message, you will NEVER hear back from them.

Pluspunten:

Easy to use. Cloud based makes it accessible from any location

Minpunten:

Support is horrible. Features are oversold. System won't necessarily support it's claims.

Works great with QuickBooks!!!

Opmerkingen: Support is amazing group!!! And 24/7 they help you solve your errors and or assist you in setting the entire system and how it works by itself or integrate it with other software. Once it is set up works like a charm and you can control so many features!!!!

Pluspunten:

Works Great with other software. Easily mapped in. Control where and how employees log in and out. Can automate breaks and salary as needed. Manual Overrides possible if need be and you can process reports for just about everything! It can even separate employees by job location and schedule.

Minpunten:

Nothing really other than if you are importing into another software you must restart the Payclock software before the integration in a server environment.

Nice Training Tool

Opmerkingen: Overall, it is a great system.

Pluspunten:

The training options available make this software a great tool. It allows the user to design a training that best fits the company. We have used videos as well as questionnaires.

Minpunten:

Since I do train, I would like to see a way to do live videos with questions for the employee to answer.

Opmerkingen: I have 4 time clocks linked to my on line account giving me easy access to all of my locations

I love that I can access my time clock from anywhere even from my phone!

Outstanding device

Opmerkingen: We have used payclock for 2 years at 5 of our locations. It is easy to use! I love that I can acccess from anywhere including my phone!

In the last 2 weeks alone it has been down twice ! When the software is down you are unable to perform any functions. This is unacceptable.
