Over Covetrus Pulse
Cloudgebaseerd praktijkbeheersysteem in de VS dat klinieken van elke omvang ondersteunt. Eenvoudig en voordelig in het gebruik.
Pricing is very straight forward - per doctor fee rather than per user or per client. High uptime availability, monthly updates, great tech support available via the app to all users.
Lots of clicks to do something, inability to time stamp, refills pull from price originally put in ( so if it has increased, you lose that money, no way to lock medical records, not super-intuitive.

User friendly

Great value, still needs improvements
Opmerkingen: Overall, it's good. I've used eVet/Pulse since 2014 between 2 practices. I'm used to it, I think it's a good product. I just know it could be better.
Pluspunten:
It's fairly easy to learn and is user freindly
Minpunten:
LOTS of clicking to get to the right page. Also, all of the "enhancements" that they do are not usually actually productive or things that I've seen anyone ask for- making the border of the EMR pink or blue to indicate gender.....there are plenty of other requests that are more important than that.

Complex but helpful program
Opmerkingen: There is a learning curve. The invoicing and accounting system is a bit complex and difficult to explain to clients. Overall, information is easy to find is easy to find, transferring patients and clients is simple. Definitely a useful program.
Pluspunten:
The amount of customization available is helpful, information on patient visits is organized and easily acessed, adding documents is simple and fast
Minpunten:
Some processes are time consuming like boarding check in/out and the addition/subtraction of services once they have been sent to invoice.

Do not like Covetrus Pulse
Opmerkingen: Pulse can be VERY glitchy, it goes down from time to time and we cannot do our daily tasks, it's not user friendly. I don't know what happened from when we first started using EVet Practice to Pulse, but something happened and not for the better. When we call about problems we are having, it's ALWAYS our server and not their problem to look into. The CSR are very nice and I know they are told what to say, it's by no fault of their own they can't say anything but "it's your server". I feel like Covetrus just doesn't want to take on the problems and fix what needs to be fixed. Pulse it just not what it used to be and sure not helpful when you have a problem. I wish I could say better things about Pulse.

At this time there is not much I like about Pulse
Minpunten:
I used to rave about Pulse, something has changed and not for the better. I would not recommend it to a colleague at this time.

Opmerkingen: It has been amazing this is the second practice that I have implemented pulse at.
Pluspunten:
The ease of access and use. The reports features make my life a lot easier. My tech's also love how everything is much easier to access.
Minpunten:
No access to an app feature yet. I think it would be amazing if there was an IOS app.
Maybe Not...
Opmerkingen: At first I was excited to switch over to it, I felt like Covetrus would listen to us and make changes that people would want and use. But it's apparent that the reporting isn't being improved, we need to continue to pay Covetrus more to fully utilize Pulse for what we wanted it for (which I thought we were already paying for) and it doesn't fully integrate with many other beneficial services which is limiting to practices. We are seriously considering moving away from Pulse.
Pluspunten:
The possibility of what it could do and how it could integrate with purchasing, reminder systems, payment systems, etc.
Minpunten:
It doesn't integrate well with other systems/services, the reporting is difficult and inaccurate, there is a pay wall to utilize wellness plans and it's reporting without using the paid service of Care Plans, and there are still so many clunky, difficult processes that you need tech support with that really shouldn't be this difficult.
Office Manager
Pluspunten:
The ability to utilize the software away from office
Minpunten:
Not good software for boarding and grooming facilities. Too many steps. Not user friendly at all. I still cannot select more than one pet in a family for any services. You have to select each pet and make a reservation or grooming appointment. We are so busy and this is very time consuming. Really super unhappy that the integrated credit card service does not have a tip line on the terminal (I am not asking a person prior to running the cc if they want to tip). Your software was highly recommended by your sister comany Impromed. We used their software for 20 plus years - they have excellent software for boarding/grooming-you might take a look see at it for "enhancements". We were at the point where we had to buy a new server from Impromed and after talking to their sales team we felt like we should give Pulse a try. We regret not staying with Impromed. After all the time we have invested switching over we are sticking with Pulse because we've been told over and over the boarding module will be improved and that you are actively working on it. I am really beginning to wonder. So again, not a great review. You have the potential for sure but it's frustrating working with Pulse software.

Pluspunten:
The ease of use. Finding medical records, inputting information, etc. is very easy.
Minpunten:
Need more options for mass updating inventory/labs/services. Would work better if it was laid out like an editable spreadsheet. It is clunky to have to click edit on each item, edit, then save and close before moving on.

Is change possible for Pulse?
Opmerkingen: Overall this software makes simple tasks harder for reception. And for Hospital manager to make simple corrections. It has made us question continuing with this platform.
Pluspunten:
Messaging and emailing clients vaccines and records
Minpunten:
can schedule an appointment without selecting a patient.
Pulse needs to be more like Avimark
Opmerkingen: As time goes on I’m not getting as frustrated with it. So I guess good.
Pluspunten:
I like that it is cloud base and I can access it from home.
Minpunten:
It takes two many clicks to get what I’m looking for. On the checkout part the reminders should be on that screen. And the reminders should be color coded just like it is in Avimak. It needs to be more like Avimark. There should also be a rescheduled button so you don’t have to cancel the appointment and go back into the medical record to make new appointments. It’s just a lot of back and forth.
Switching to Pulse
Opmerkingen: Over all it was a learning curve but I am starting to enjoy it for the most part.
Pluspunten:
I like how everything is all in one place. I like how the appointment ms can be color coated so easier to see what type of appointment is coming in.
Minpunten:
Have to refresh a lot because there are errors. Also the invoices are very confusing when trying to figure out an owners bill to see what they paid towards their balance. There are a lot of steps just to enter previous vaccines.

The only thing we like about Pluse is that we can pull it up at 2 different offices.

Opmerkingen: We enjoy using Pulse day to day, but there are a lot of downfalls. Customer service responds quickly and is very helpful.
Pluspunten:
-Reports are amazing! Easy to view and excited that they can be exported to Excel/PDF-Inventory is great, just wish you could edit what you've "received"-Procedures are nice- love being able to create packages-All of the integrations! Antech, Rocket Pacs & rads, pharmacy/Rx fills
Minpunten:
-Very difficult to make financial corrections (no "management code")-Can't access patient records when scheduling appointments-Slow even though our internet speed is great-Ongoing issues with the task list- Hasn't been corrected in almost 1 month-Estimates are doubling into the check out screen. Multiple charges as a result/carried over balances-Rx that were "1½" or included the ½ came over as "?" b/c the system didn't recognize it- not mentioned during training-Problem list disappeared for most patients-Patients were doubled on accounts- took a lot time to fix-Training was terrible for staff

Positive experience with Covetrus
Opmerkingen: My overall experience is very good, I really like the product and it is constantly changing for us to have better record keeping, allows us to communicate with the client in several forms and is attached to the MR.
Pluspunten:
Very easy to use, has many tools that are very helpful to contact and keep communication with the clients, it is icloud based so I can access my MR anywhere, and much more.
Minpunten:
The system is not always accessible, for a while it was replicating the same Medical note, lately when you save and release it asks you to leave the site, and in previous occassions I had troubles because the MR was not being saved. Don't like that I cannot lock my MR after finishing them.
Honest Review
Opmerkingen: Better than other vet software I have used in the past

Easy to navigate and learn for new employees
Minpunten:
Slow, freezes to often, takes a long time to load, need to work out glitches with the task bar, not great at sending out bulk emails to clients.

Opmerkingen: I like it overall and the ease of it's use.
Pluspunten:
I like it's intuitive set up and functionality. I like how some things are very customizable. I like the variety of reporting and way the information in the patient record is presented.
Minpunten:
I don't like how information in reports can be pulled via multiple reports and often with different results. I also don't like that pulling more than a a few days data tends to make my Pulse program freeze and crash for several minutes making it unusable while gathering data. I also wish we could do more customization with wellness plans and better reporting there. I also would like to be able to set up multiple reminders for things and set up online patient scheduling so I could move away from separate programs like Rapport.

Covetrus/Pulse user since it was Evet
Opmerkingen: Overall we are happy, things could be better but all things considered its a decent and very user friendly program. We have been with the program for 6 years and have watched things improve and things not go as well, but we do enjoy the program so we stick with it.
Pluspunten:
Cloud based, very user friendly for everyone.
Minpunten:
"If it aint broke, don't fix it" - I feel at times "updates" or "fixes" are not needed and it ends up not really helping us, making things more challenging as we learn the new updates that took place. Things that truly would helps us this last 6 years, have never even be addressed.
covertus 8/10
Opmerkingen: FAIR TO GOOD - EASY TO GET AROUDN IN BUT DOES NEED SOME CHANGES AND ADD ONS
Pluspunten:
easy to figure out and navigate, but does need some things to be changed/updated.
Minpunten:
You cant change in the check out the billing's doctor in 1 click must click and change every singe item in invoice individually. Also need to add a rabies vaccine expiry to be automatic applied on certificates (actual product expiry - NOT pet expiry)
User Friendly
Opmerkingen: I enjoy using Covetrus Pulse as it is simple to use and when there are issues that you cannot figure out yourself the live chat feature always has knowledgable people to help you out.
Pluspunten:
It is a user friendly system that makes scheduling and creating clients easy and fast.
Minpunten:
There aren't enough dog breeds to choose from when creating a profile.

A lot of steps and clicking; not the most veterinary focused software
Pulse review
Opmerkingen: It's been difficult to learn and there are a lot of things I wish they would change or update.
Pluspunten:
I like that it allows for us to edit appointment colors
Minpunten:
It is not user friendly. There are a lot of glitches, support team is responsive but lacks any helpful advice because most things are just how they are and no real way to fix or update the system.
Functional program but needs major help on financial side
Pluspunten:
Easy to add clients, patients and medical notes
Minpunten:
No end of the month statements for clients- only invoices need major improvement in this area.

Taskboard update.
Opmerkingen: Overall, I think the system is easy to use. I am mostly concerned about the way the new task board functions
Pluspunten:
Scheduling, billing, medical records are all, user friendly.
Minpunten:
I have concerns regarding the update to the task board function. Cons* Accessing patient medical record from a specific task is no longer possible, you have to leave the task and find the link for the patient medical record in the task board. *Marking a message as urgent is not available from the patient record. A lot of our communications regarding patient care are originated from the medical record. Our old work around for making something appear urgent is no longer functional because you can not see something highlighted from the new task board. * The size of the task window is too small, I keep notes regarding updates and next steps in treatment for export cases in tasks. I do not need to see the entire task board when working on a specific task. What would be cool is if I could access the patients medical record while still in the task. Pros*I do like that you can now update a specific task and copy that update to the medical record without completing the task. *I like that you can see multiple task boards at the same time and that you can control the time frame

Conflicted programming
Pluspunten:
I like that everything is in one place. Gone are the days of paper charting while still being able to include uploaded documents into the patients file. I also like how colorful the scheduling is and being able to search patients by their first or last name or the owners name.
Minpunten:
I don’t like having to constantly change the provider back and forth. I also find written scripts frustrating as I often forget to change the provider and have to start over. I also haven’t found a way to print them without saving them and then printing.

Great software, but has some quirks
Pluspunten:
I like the ease of use, as well as how customizable it is. I also appreciate that it can keep up with our high volume clinic.
Minpunten:
The patient/client search needs some work. Also, the invoicing/check out screen could benefit from some updating.
