Paychex Flex is great for completing payroll

Opmerkingen: I appreciate being able to check on the 401(k) and have the money go straight into employee accounts, saving time and effort. Since insurance coverage is now related directly to who has enrolled in which plans, processing payroll has become much more efficient.

Pluspunten:

From either the employer's or employee's perspective, the website couldn't be simpler to use. Filters and stored views make it easy to customize your payroll experience based on your current needs.

Minpunten:

Over the years, I've seen a few different specialists. Obviously, not everyone has the same potential. When my allocated person hasn't been able to help me, I've found that the online chat staff is quite responsive and helpful.

Rocky start but smooth ride otherwise

Pluspunten:

Ease of setup and benefits offered are great.

Minpunten:

When getting onboarded, one of their reps never sent me an onboarding email. I had to ask them 4 separate times over the span of 2 weeks and keep following up. Annoying.

Poor Experience - do not recommend

Opmerkingen: Unfortunately I spent a year with Paychex and really wanted to have a good experience but the software is not intuitive, clunky. Additionally the staff made many errors which required dozens of hours of emails and phone calls over 4-5 months to correct.

Pluspunten:

They paid my payroll and taxes onetime, unfortunately made many many errors that required months to correct.

Minpunten:

You are assigned an account advisor that you are never able to contact directly and must play voice-tag when you have questions. When I am calling, I am spending the time to get an immediate answer and the process gets dragged out much longer than necessary. If you want an immediate answer, you are then put on hold to speak to the next available agent. Since they are not as familiar with your account, in my opinion, there is a higher risk that you will receive an incorrect answer which happened to me on multiple occasions which made undoing the correction even worse. Additionally, sometime the user may need to speak with a Payroll Specialist and othertimes a Time & Attendance specialist. Unfortunately, many issues that arise require evaluation in both of these areas [say a staff member does not get credited appropriately for time off, etc] and one specialist cannot see what the other one sees.

Great App For Getting Paid

Opmerkingen: My overall experience is not bad. Its a great app that offers a good amount of features I just would prefer an easier to understand app.

Pluspunten:

I love that Paychex offers a pay now option where you can get paid before pay day so that you dont have to wait to get paid to pay your bills or overdraft your accounts. It charges a small fee but absolutely worth it.

Minpunten:

The app is slightly glitchy and they do maintenance often on the app. The apps dashboard is slightly confusing but it is customizable.

Paychex is worth the time and money!

They have wonderful customer support teams and are always available when needed. They are very user friendly and make time keeping and payroll seamless.

Minpunten:

The reporting could be more user friendly.

Only efficient on a newer phone

Opmerkingen: While it allows for an employee to easy clock in, out, go on meal, break and more, it has connectivity issues.

Pluspunten:

It can be an easy and efficient way for an employee to be able to clock in & clock out from wherever at the location. It allows for you to tally your hours, view your paychecks, and overall ease of use.

Minpunten:

It has trouble logging in on older devices. It works best on a newer phone and even a phone a few years behind may only easily log in half of the time.

Sr Payroll Manager

Opmerkingen: Over all I like Paychex because it very user friendly and simple. there isn't a lot of complex configurations

Pluspunten:

Simple processing. The platform is more for lower volume companies. Not really intuitive but very user friendly

Minpunten:

Customer service. The reps are not very helpful at times because to retain the knowledge and skills necessary to address complex issues or system config questions.

Paychex Flex review

Opmerkingen: Overall, my experience has been good using Paychex Flex.

Pluspunten:

It is easy to navigate and it is very user friendly.

Minpunten:

The rep we had assigned to our account was not helpful at all. He wouldn't return calls/emails. Every time we would call to speak to him, he was NEVER available.

Cost-Effective Payroll Processing

Opmerkingen: It's a great alternative to more expensive payroll processors. But they still handle all the child support and other deductions.

Pluspunten:

Easy to use for both management and employees.

Minpunten:

Sometimes the app doesn't keep up with updates on the employee side.

Mid tier payroll

Opmerkingen: It's okay, its not my favorite time and attendance scorecard system, they do make the information and language straightforward however there are better options on the market for a more fluid and user enhanced experience.

Pluspunten:

It is easy to use, straightforward, simple, and has a native iPhone compatible app.

Minpunten:

The app is slow, sometimes the changes are not fully reflected, time and attendance cards require a few redundant button pushes in order to save a change.

Expensive & Frustrating Company and Service

Opmerkingen: We switched to Paychex for their Employee Retention Credit filing services, and they seemed like they'd be more involved and personal than our previous provider. However, things turned south and they drop the personal touch once you're established. They're a decent payroll provider, but the lack of transparency with invoicing and dashboard navigation issues are concerning.

Pluspunten:

Paychex onboarding is great. The main dashboard became easier and easier to use, and there's a lot of features that come with a basic subscription and more you can add.

Minpunten:

The extra features are pushed HARD by their teams. Their retirement savings team was almost predatory with how they sold the product, constant calls, applying pressure to make a decision, and more. Once we started with their HR service, things just got worse. These features get more and more expensive with less and less that they offer, but you're under contract. The invoicing gets obfuscated so you don't know what money is being charged for, and you have to be on top of them to not make errors or mistakes. The platform itself can be confusing with many features not having a menu button, requiring access strictly through an notification card on the dashboard homepage.

This software is the easiest one for payroll in my experience.

Opmerkingen: Overall it is a real decent software to use. It is user friendly and has most all the features you need.

Pluspunten:

That I can review my W2 and all my paystubs in the same place whenever I need to and I can print them or download them easily. I love the clock in machine to.

Minpunten:

The APP takes forever to log in a lot of the times. I would be on time coming back from lunch but by the time the app would open and I clocked back in I would be , sometimes up to 4 minutes late. Those minutes add up when you only get paid once a month.

If your payroll is simple, try Paychex Flex.

Opmerkingen: Day to day ordinary payroll is a breeze. Requesting certain reports for work comp and union audits was a challenge.

Pluspunten:

I could run my own reports when I wanted them.

Minpunten:

It was hard to receive qualified support. It took almost a year to get our account transferred over when we were purchased by another company (FEIN)

Paychex Flex is worth the cost!

Opmerkingen: We have been using it for quite a few years now I took over as Director in 2019 and have been using it myself since then. We use it to pay our staff and have never had any issues with they make sure to always let us know when we need to run it early due to holidays closures from the bank.

Pluspunten:

I like that Paychex flex allows multiple users to log in and work on payroll to allow for each person in each department to enter there staff hours.

Minpunten:

There customer service isn't the best there are times it is hard to get ahold of our customer service representative and the representatives seem to have a high turn over rate.

Paychex review

Pluspunten:

I liked how the website was laid out. I also like how easy the hiring tab was to use. I really liked how everyone's PTO was on one calendar that administrators could see.

Minpunten:

I did not like how if an employee used Paychex with a previous employer, it was very difficult to add them and separate the profiles.

Paychex Flex Review

Opmerkingen: For the most part positive. Over the years the number one overall best thing about Paychex is their customer service. The platform is easy to use and for the most part user friendly but their customer service is great!

Pluspunten:

For the most part well integrated and easy to use. Customer service is stellar compared to other companies that I deal with. They are also very response to comments on proposed changes in the portal, etc.

Minpunten:

Pricing! It has increased quite a bit over the past couple of years with an actual decrease in what we get. And paying for hardware is a lot of money!

Office manager

Opmerkingen: Now that I understand the reports and ease of use I really enjoy doing payroll.

Pluspunten:

East to use. Dashboard has everything I need.

Minpunten:

Not a flex problem but having to reinvite staff multiple times until they register.

Dependable, One Stop Shop for Tracking Employment Info

Opmerkingen: Overall, Paychex Flex made it easy to submit hours, submit time off requests and view pending ones, as well as look up vital employment salary and benefits information - all in a secure, online form. It has saved time and spared my supervisors many questions over years.

Pluspunten:

It was easy to view paystubs, submit time off requests, and get a snapshot of important employment milestone dates.

Minpunten:

None. It performed its functions exceptionally well.

EASY FOR ALL

Opmerkingen: Overall has been my preferred payroll and time tracking. It is very user friendly and everything is conveniently sorted and categorized.

Pluspunten:

Extremely user friendly. We have many employees who are not very tech savvy and they all seem to enjoy the ease of Paychex Flex.

Minpunten:

From the few years we have been using Paychex Flex I do not have much to complain or dislike about it.

Paychex Flex as easy as 1,2,3!

Opmerkingen: I have been using Paychex as the manager of a very busy salon. The Paychex Flex app and site is so easy. Adding new employees is a breeze-and it allows the employee to be part of the process eliminating any mistakes. I can check it, review messages and act even if not at the salon. The Team at Paychex is amazing-always helpful and accommodating.

Pluspunten:

The EASE of use. Everything in the portal is clearly laid out and user friendly.

Minpunten:

Not available...Love everything about it!

Just Okay?

Pluspunten:

I think one of the best features of Paychex Flex is the wide range of features it offers, including payroll processing, HR management tasks, and attendance tracking.

Minpunten:

There are some notable cons: The customer service is absolutely horrendous. It can take days to hear from your account manager. If you speak with a customer service representative, they always suggest contacting your account manager. The website was completely unusable when trying to process payroll. If you had to make any adjustments, it could take a day of just lagging since everyone else was using the website.

I didn't like the login issues, as I had one quite a bit.

HVAC Industry Review

Opmerkingen: Overall, Paychex Flex has been an extremely useful in documenting time/attendance, PTO and significantly in processing weekly payroll.

The ease of use on-line as well as via mobile device.

Would like to be notified in advance of any updates/changes well in advance.
