A great cost-effective device protection solution.

Opmerkingen: The licenses are billed annually at a very good and economical price because it also offers web protection in the browser, email, anti-spam and attacks from external intruders. The protection is complete and has great performance on devices without crashing or failing.

Pluspunten:

The Trend Micro Smart Protection Complete Suite solution has everything we need to protect devices such as corporate computers and notebooks against intruders, worms, viruses and also hacker attacks. The system is simplified and easy to use for scheduling daily scans, fault finding, outdated software and viruses.

Minpunten:

The system has some bugs in the smartphone version but we use it as the main one in Windows on the workstations. I don't see another problem.

Recommended if you don't mind support delays.

Although we update the server machine's version once a year, the client terminal automatically gets the information in the form of definition files, so we can keep the system up to date with almost no effort. I think it's also convenient as it's easy to see each client's computer's registry. For companies that don't want to spend a lot on installation, management, and operating costs.

Minpunten:

However, the support is terrible. The response speed, quality, registration request settings, information collection, etc. are inferior to the above.

Trend Micro not software friendly with other programs

Opmerkingen: This program functions fine for the home user that isn't running business software that it could possibly be incompatible with. I didn't have any problem with the software on a laptop that didn't have my billing software on it.

Pluspunten:

This software is easy to install across multiple devices and easy to use. The renewal process is easy and quick. Visually, it's easy to find what you want to do.

Minpunten:

This program seemed to be interfering with my medical billing software and causing it to freeze up at very inconvenient times. After researching this among other users of the medical billing software I found that others experienced the same issues with it causing the billing software to freeze up. I had to uninstall this software because of it's interference with the billing software.

Opmerkingen: Trend Micro has been innovating in the past decade and this can be observed in the quality of the solution. The latter is so lightweight that you barely notice that it is there.

So easy to implement and deploy on small to large scale. Management and support is even easier!

Not so much to comment about. The solution simply works great!

Good thinking Less Functionality

Security architecture is good for protection it cover all signature protection at multiple appliance and easy of flexiable and multiple Security options like antivirus,ips,behavioral analyze , URL filter also etc.

Minpunten:

Some custom configuration is more difficult and is not .

I don't have a whole lot to say about it but that it did it's job.

My biggest complaint was the installation seemed to be a bit long. Other software seems to install quicker which is important at a client with 200+ computers.

Great product, designed to be easy to use

Opmerkingen: It has helped cut down on the spam that I would normally get in my email. I dont have as much issues as I did with other products that slowed down my computer in the past. I look forward to more products that TrendMicro will be developing in the futuer and trying them out.

Pluspunten:

Easy to install and set up. Has provided the protection that it is supposed to. I have only had one issue with the software in the 2 years of using it and that was when I was setting it up initially. Their team at the support number was there for me and walked me through making sure that the software was working properly. Been using it ever since almost 2 1/2 years. Glad to have found this product and been able to make it a part of the protection I use on a regular basis. I would recommend to colleagues to use as part of their Anti-Spam/Virus protection.

Minpunten:

Hard to find any thing that I didn't like about this software. It has provided all the protection that I have needed along with the other products that I use. Over all its a great product

This application has many Pros, but the most important thing is that it keeps annoying unwanted emails at bay, I really like its ease of installation, its friendly interface. I have been using products from this company for years and they are synonymous with quality.

I think the updates are not as frequent as they are with other products of this same brand. but it is something that can be solved without major problem. It really is difficult to get negative aspects to this useful tool

Used Trend Micro smart and total protection for Email protection and unwanted emails

Superior protection for virus protection for incoming and outgoing email. Trend micro is known for the unbeatable protection from unwanted emails. These emails are blocked using trend micro email reputation database

This was a little complicated as far as putting down our company compliance and basic business and email processes. Ifr your computer savvy then it will be easy but if not find someone who isw help with the process. Every department has different processes..

Program Pretty Much Runs Itself

Pluspunten:

This program keeps me protected in all areas. It scans every day and will do additional scans anytime I need it to. I love that you can still continue to use the computer when the scan is being run.

Minpunten:

Sometimes blocks documents being sent to me that pertain to my job but after several steps I can get through the block.

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with Trend Micro is not satisfactory & i don't recommend it for Large Enterprises, especially when you have to integrate it with lots of software, as we have experienced a lot of issues with it, which ended up terminating it & replacing it with another protection software.

Pluspunten:

Only its Pricing may be considered as one of its few advantages.

Minpunten:

Unfortunately Trend Micro's experience with our Company is not satisfying, it has a lot of issues being deployed on a large scale, and causes problems with integration with other software, and actually stops important upgrades which are actually safe, it caused issues with our Network Monitoring software (Solarwinds Orion) and actually impacted our production badly.

Trend Micro Enterprise Security Suite: ENTERPRISE FRIENDLY!

Opmerkingen: We really enjoyed working with their Beta Team in the development process and as such found that we could really dig deep in to this product. That gave us a much better understanding and now many of the posts we see people asking questions on the support server appear to us a problems that stem from not reading the manual! What can I say? 8-)

Full Disclosure, I was a Beta Tester for Trend Micro but did not receive any compensation. So we really dug into this Software and can say without any hesitation that it's one of the finest choices for an Enterprise Solution you will ever find!

Minpunten:

Not as intuitive as one would hope but their Tech Support is Tops and they do get back to you in a reasonable amount of time. Once you get past the one or two hurdles that come up when implementing an Enterprise Solution you will find it your Go-To Choice!

Basic protection with lots of notifications

It definitely does its job it scans thoroughly and I haven't had a problem with any viruses because it catches any sort of thing it scans for.

Minpunten:

Once again it's hard to enjoy the free version when you're constantly being reminded to purchase the full. After the trial. Ends you are required to register it so I went back to AVG

Opmerkingen: My overall experience about this software is fantastic, the best module of this software is the alert monitoring which gives you the complete visibility of threat monitoring on a single dashboard.

Pluspunten:

I like about this software is that it provide a variety of services which includes services like its threat hunting and its investigation services which provide the exact information about the cyber threats. Its dashboard is very impressive and very user-friendly you can find all the details about the endpoints on a single click.

Minpunten:

Things which I dislike about this product is that sometimes the response time will take longer than the usual time to respond due to this process will take longer time to detect. Otherwise overall this is the best product in the Market.

Pluspunten:

The product is very good, we use it since 2010 and we did not notice a single problem. On the client PCs its user interface is very minimal and not distracting.

Minpunten:

It is a LAN-only product. Disconnected PCs do not get any signature updates. Scheduled full-PC scans are long and cause the system to slowdown even for hours, but they aren't mandatory and it's up to the sysadmin to plan the schedule. I don't know of any rival product with the same security levels and a better behavior.

Top of the line protection

Pluspunten:

Trend Micro is a cut above its competitors in terms of overall security quality, user friendliness, and customer service. The suite we purchased for the company was used on all 8 computers and was a constant source of relief for administrators. Trend Micro offers a range of top of the line cyber security packages and we found that Enterprise Security Suite worked best for us.

Minpunten:

This software is a bit pricier than its competitors, though it offers comparable protection. The primary upgrade for the price tag is the user interface, which is definitely a breath of fresh air.

Just difficult to use

Opmerkingen: When I used the software, it made me worry that it was letting problems in and not letting me know since the software not only never detected problems even on a heavily infected machine but also slowed down any machines that it was installed on.

Pluspunten:

There wasn't really anything to like about the software other than it let you lock it so that the user was not able to remove it without your consent

Minpunten:

It never did what it was suppose to and never found or prevented viruses

It's simple, reliable, keeps you protected all the time and does not use many system resources to run. It was easy to deploy on the server and even easier to distribute to all machines.

Minpunten:

Nothing to add on cons, still have not had any malware issue in a machine so as far as I can see it is doing the job it's supposed to.

Opmerkingen: It's user friendly and is great about scheduled maintenance etc, overall I felt protected however I was advised to switch due to not enough emphasis playing a role on malware protection.

A Virus Protection that truly works

Opmerkingen: Their support is excellent especially when we are looking to them for guidance.

Pluspunten:

We had a different virus protection and changed to Trend Micro in 2016. It was the best move we could have made. The software has kept us virus clean as we've had multiple virus attempts that the software has stopped from infiltrating our system.

Minpunten:

There isn't anything that I would say is a con to the product. For us the price is hefty but compared to the cost of a virus attack it balances out.
