Things to be aware of for new users
Opmerkingen: Overall my experience has been fantastic! I am beginning to get reporting at a detailed level that I've never had, I enjoy the audit trails and Audit oversights
Pluspunten:
Super powerful package. We have a Procurement module, SIM (Supplier Information management), Sourcing, AI. This is an extremely powerful and well-orchestrated product. We had a very knowledgeable implementation team from Coupa which to really great job discovering on identifying what we needed due for the setup. We've been using this product now for about 4 months and now implementing a second affiliate company without much assistance from Coupa and it's going pretty well.
Minpunten:
Beware that systems integration is much more complex than anyone tells you it is. Its been four months since go-live, And we are still having problems with integrating to oracle. Some may read this review think that this is a problem with the implementer, some of it may be. Specifically, we are struggling with the supplier integration and though we have weekly calls, we are still having problems. So just wanted to be aware we were made to believe that Integrating was done all the time and has never been a problem
Should be better
Opmerkingen: This platform should be better considering all the investment and is an expensive tool for companies, so you spend more time to do the right thing once.
Pluspunten:
It is a good platform to help companies to buy products and services. The idea is to faster the relation between companies (B2B).
Minpunten:
It is not a friendly platform for the user, it is full os details and does not allows mistakes, I mean if you start a process with some information and you have to change it, you would take some time to do that.

It offers a complete suite of tools for procurement, invoicing and expenses, also its pretty easy to navigate, which helps in quick adoption by users. Additionally, since it is cloud-based, users can access from anywhere, ensuring flexibility and scalability.
Minpunten:
It can be expensive for smaller business, also the initial set up and implementation can be time-consuming
Horrible product with worse support

Me: Well first of [all] the last chat person just HUNG UP ON ME [via chat] because I was letting him know (respectfully) I was not pleased that I can't get phone support...I would like to speak to a manager please...I've been dealing with a problems since yesterday and this is now my 4th chat.Support: Do you want to get connected to the previous person? Me: No. He hung up on me...I would like to speak with a supervisor Support: Sorry for the inconvenience. Me: Yes inconvenience. Also rude. Also, your system is frustrating...I would like to speak with a supervisorSupport: Sorry, but there is no call support available. Can you please elaborate the issue in detail? Me: Well...so far all of the "help" via chat has not been helpful. What do you propose? I am frustrated because I have been over this MULTIPLE TIMES via chat Support: Sorry for the inconvenience. Me: Don't say that again, please. I don't believe it Support: Can you please elaborate the issue in detail? Me: One more time then....After 90 mins and three attempts to get rid of me, I finally had an answer - a very simple (yet non-obvious) "click here and add this" resolution.
Pluspunten:
I really don't like anything about Coupa. I am not a direct customer - I am a supplier who has had to interact with my customer's system infrequently over the years.
Minpunten:
I find Coupa to be a poorly designed product, difficult to use, lacking many basic features, and which adds layers of complexity to minor workflows. But their Support is worse - no phone access, no escalation path - only a chat box where they repeatedly misunderstand questions and then request screenshots.
Coupa is a highly customizable system
Pluspunten:
You can easily navigate the application since it interface is simple and understandable. You can customize the application based on what you want the results to be. Coupa can be integrated to a different application depending on business need. Very minimal lag time.
Minpunten:
Integration of documents to Coupa needs more improvement as there are limitations on the type of file that can be uploaded such as zipped files.

They are very good at billing. I think the security systems are also good

It still has a lot of shortcomings in integration with some software. They need to fix these asap
AR Invoicing
Opmerkingen: It is mostly easy to use, but some features can be a little more complex and can cause use to be a little harder.
Pluspunten:
Being able to manage more than one vendor/customer within the system.
Minpunten:
Not having a more updated Courier list for shipment tracking. We use TForce Freight and Old Dominion Freight frequently but they are not options on the drop down list. So, we get a lot of disputed invoices due to not having proof of delivery.
Supply chain solution that actually works
Opmerkingen: It has been a refreshing experience considering we were moving from a manual system. Procurement process has never been any simpler. I like that I can place my requisitions anytime and from anywhere! That I can track the approval flow is also a plus for Coupa

Minpunten:
I cant seem to be able to edit items from a copied requistion when its a product already in the system catalog; thats a no brainier really
Coupa- The most advanced AI driven cloud invoice management system I have ever seen

a. Excellent invoice management system supported by cloud computing b. Super sleek dashboard powered by user controlled/ customizations options c. AI is very powerful and learns from your patterns of working d. Unlimited space for all of your documents and bills e. Single sign in authentications through okta, super secure way of working
Minpunten:
a. Pricing model is bit elevated from other other competitors however its worth b. Not very customization priendly c. API integration is not at 100%. It tends to have a broken path
Coupa review
Opmerkingen: I like the ease of raising purchase orders in Coupa. Purchasing is easy once you set it up, but the inital setup can be painful.
Pluspunten:
Ease of releasing purchase order and copying new ones from existing ones.
Minpunten:
If you have to setup a new purchase order, looking through inventory for a company as large as ours is a nightmare.
Coupa Review
Opmerkingen: Great software for the end user and supplies but not for the admins.
Pluspunten:
It is very easy for the end user and supplier to submit invoices. Suppliers are able to track the invoice process and payments. Helps reduce the time spent communicating with suppliers.
Minpunten:
Making changes are not easy. Adding custom fields and changing approval chains have not been easy to adjust.
Coupa - Best for your Business
Opmerkingen: Overall experience is good with Coupa Support and must be recommended.
Pluspunten:
I have used Coupa Software for Supplier/Vendor management and Purchasing modules. i have found this software easy in use and give flexibility to do customization as per business requirements.
Minpunten:
The Customer Support needs to be improved. On raising incidents for issue we need to do multiple followups.
Review of Coupa Procurement

I've used Coupa for close to 5 years now. While the product provides a good value to it's primary functionality, the product lacks a level of polish to it. The navigation and processes to do specific steps feel clunky and not very smooth. I've looked for things only to ask Accounting where something is at because I simply can't find what I'm looking for.
While overall an ok to good piece of software there are pieces of it that make it time consuming to use and because of that I only use it when I absolutely have to.
Pluspunten:
Pros of Coupa: - Allows process and systems to work through large purchases - Helps better keep track of the purchases needed for the company (whether they be large or small) - Ties the purchases to a PO for Accounting and Finance teams to keep track of.
Minpunten:
Cons of Coupa: - The usability of the product isn't polished. You can't find a submitted request easily to see who has the next step in the approval process - It's difficult to search for created items in Coupa - You end up searching for large amounts of time to do things in the product you need to complete but are not quite sure where those things you need to do are at.
Does what it needs to
Pluspunten:
That i can use the punchouts to directly order rom stores that link to it. It makes it way easier and takes away other steps for me
Minpunten:
It's hard to search, right now i can't search to find items i have approved other than the administrator.
Coupa is so easy to use and helps keep budgets in line, especially with approvals in place.
Pluspunten:
Coupa is easy to navigate and to understand. I can easily request payment be made for something, upload the invoice, IDT (Internal Department Transfer) specific items that our department needs, the list goes on and we have it setup with the vendors that we use to go directly to their page and once we've selected the items we would like to purchase it will send the checkout back to Coupa for approval and purchasing!
Minpunten:
Honestly, I don't have anything bad to say about Coupa. There was only one one time that we couldn't figure out why a PO# wasn't reflecting right and we kept getting emails about a PO# that was denied but it wasn't. Maybe a weird glitch once?
Coupa makes business purchasing easy
Opmerkingen: I am satisfied with how coupa is used for B2B purchases and how most vendors is easily found when issuing the PO.
Pluspunten:
I like how helpful the global search is and how integrated it is with specific punchout, also how easy it is to track and receive orders.
Minpunten:
Copying an order should allow punchout specific items to be automatically added to the requisition.

Pluspunten:
It is easy to use for day to day activities, featuring filters to save ample time kn searing activities. Keep records of all your data which opens endless opportunities of business optimization.
Minpunten:
Multilevel approval stages are time consuming. Every action requires fully functioning user account, it would be great if we get tailored access to reduce costs
Outdated usability
Pluspunten:
It does what you need it to, in terms of filing expenses and submitting. It also does a good job of other tasks like setting up new vendors and getting payments processed.
Minpunten:
The usability is pretty archaic. It is difficult to navigate and find the function you need, especially since the front-end menu is so different than what's traditional and expected. For example, there is only one or two options, and it's done vertically, which is weird. The home screen is also pretty poor.
Spend Management made amazing, and visible, and in control.
Pluspunten:
It makes it so easy to get approvals and keep track of our current contractors. The value in time saved is more than enough to justify switching over to Coupa. Having a user oriented platform just makes the system work much quicker than it did with our previous platform.
Minpunten:
Implementation can take some extra hours, and sometimes customer service tickets require a lot more explanation and follow up than I wanted to invest.
Comprehensive and easy to use
Opmerkingen: Overall, Coupa makes the RFx process faster, easier, and more objective, thus yielding better results.
Pluspunten:
Coupa’s ability to take inputs in any form (question, statement, text, numeric, percentages, etc) and track and compare them is incredibly useful for the bidding process.
Minpunten:
Having to delete a bid or item field, without the ability to edit them in the template, is more cumbersome than necessary.
Limited support for Suppliers
Opmerkingen: Fair. If Coupa would assist the supplier more it would help their customers in implementing some of the solutions (cXML, Flat File, etc.)
Pluspunten:
Fairly easy to use. Not very complicated.
Minpunten:
From the Supplier portal perspective there is not much functionality. The only support mechanism is via Chat. The techs seemed to be limited in knowledge to what is just on the Supplier Portal. Any questions related to how to assist our 'mutual' customer they can not answer and state you need to contact customer. Some customers do not have the technical capability to assist a supplier thus making enhancements to the supplier/customer relationship difficult. Customers seem to not get a very good response time from Customer Portal techs which exacerbates the issue.
Coupa Review

Pluspunten:
It is so easy to put in a request for a PO and attach documents and information needed for the purchase. The request then gets sent to the appropriate people for approval and purchase. The accounting team then does the rest!
Minpunten:
I forget to upload the receipt sometimes.
A quick and easy way for me to manage travel expenses!
Opmerkingen: TripScanner has been an excellent way for me to help manage my company's travel expenses and policies. I've been using TripScanner for a few months and am impressed by the comprehensive reporting and ease of use. I previously had some issues with high travel costs caused by employees not adhering to our policies, but now I receive real time alerts if they go out of policy and can correct the situation immediately. Also with the Low-Price Scanner feature we have been able to spot deals and save money on hotels.
Pluspunten:
Quick and easy to setup. Real time reporting. Very easy for my employees to use.
WORST SOFTWARE OF ANY KIND I HAVE USED IN OVER 30 YEARS!!!

NONE! LITERALLY; THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A SINGLE FEATURE TO POINT TO AND SAY THAT IS EVEN ACCEPTABLE.

CLUNKY, CUMBERSOME BEYOND ANYTHING IN THIS CATEGORY I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN 30 YEARS. PASSWORD FAILS EVERY SINGLE TIME, HAVE TO RESET FOR EVERY LOGIN, THEN IMMEDIATELY FAILS ON FIRST ATTEMPT FOR EXCESSIVE FAILED ATTEMPTS!!!!!
Coupa, Corporate Expenses
Pluspunten:
What I like the best about Coupa is that it automatically creates my expenses for me. Typically all I have to do is add the receipt.
Minpunten:
What I like least about Coupa is the same thing I like because sometimes I want to get the expense submitted quickly and you have to wait for the card to be charged before you can even put a receipt into Coupa.
