Pluspunten:

There are features for everything that you can think of. Its easy for people to do the basic things that they need as well as advanced reporting features for administrators.

Minpunten:

When you are using the software for projects with different companies, you are required to set up different logins. This can create confusion and requires staff to confirm that they are signed into the correct account when tracking time.

Bill4Time handles our customer billing and invoicing

Opmerkingen: Bill4Time's portability and ease of use are its greatest strengths; I can take care of client billing even when I'm away from the office.

Pluspunten:

The company as a whole is quite pleased with the decision to switch to Bill4Time. It's a well-organized, well-thought-out, and user-friendly software that might, at times, feel repetitive. The web-based interface is great, and it gives me peace of mind about maintaining accurate records.

Minpunten:

The app doesn't always work as smoothly as you'd like on mobile devices. I occasionally have crashes and strange graphics glitches, and I wish I had access to more future projections for scheduling purposes.

Disappointed

Opmerkingen: Disappointing experience as this has bees an issue for over 6 months. They continue to bill us in full and refuse to let us speak directly to IT. They gave us one crest after 3 months but have done nothing about crediting us since. Not have they found a solution to the problem.

Pluspunten:

That it was supposed to integrate with QuickBooks

Minpunten:

After an update in November the two programs stopped communicating

The platform, Bill4Time, has several features that I simply adore, and I am quite satisfied with it. I value the extensive and simple capabilities it provides for time tracking, expenditure management, client administration, and invoice production most of all. I can easily handle every part of my law firm effectively because to the platform's user-friendly layout and smooth interaction with other tools. The online time tracking tool, which enables me to precisely record my billable hours from any location, and the expenditure monitoring option, which enables me to maintain an exact record of my business-related expenses, are two features I really value. Another significant benefit is the capacity to provide comprehensive reports and invoices that may be modified. Additionally, the Bill4Time team's superb customer service is deserving of praise. They are constantly helpful, knowledgable, and ready to help with any questions or problems I may have.

Minpunten:

Despite my overall satisfaction with Bill4Time, there is one thing that I find a little difficult. I'd say that using the platform for the first time might have a bit of a high learning curve. I originally found it a little hard to browse through all the features and functions of Bill4Time because I appreciate simplicity and ease of use. I needed some time to completely understand all the available settings and customization choices.

Very, very satisfied with switch to Bill4Time

Opmerkingen: Overall the whole firm has been very happy with our recent switch to Bill4Time. It's a very clean, intuitive, and easy to use program, though can get redundant. Web-based interface is nice too and makes me feel confident about record keeping.

Pluspunten:

Love it all! Easy to use and intuitive. User on boarding went well. Nice web based interface. Not as much of a headache to enter time as previous software.

Minpunten:

Onboarding/entering our billable clients, references, and tasks was a bit tedious and repetitive for set up. Have to manually enter updated information for references individually, which we update every quarter for a decent volume.

Very User Friendly

Pluspunten:

Program was easy to set up and learning curve is low. Very easy to navigate and customize, if needed.

Minpunten:

I do not have any complaints, except that this field has a minimum character requirement of writing a negative review to a positive review. I would recommend having this field as optional. Otherwise, you are requiring the writer of the review to illustrate a negative experience and where there is none.

I LOVE Bill4Time

Pluspunten:

Bill4Time keeps my time and expenses and creates my invoices in an organized, simplified way at a fraction of the cost of other software. Their human customer service is a huge plus.

Minpunten:

The one drawback of the software is that when you are running several matters for a single client, the system shows them according to the kind of work you are doing (drafting, advise, etc) instead of the matter name.

Law firm management made easy

Opmerkingen: It has been my first and only billing software. I will never need to manually raise bills again.

Pluspunten:

One stop billing solution. Excellent invoicing and other features. Love the new dashboard. Makes counting very easy. Easy to add new users and expand.

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with this software is the new features and changes to the software that helps me to be more efficient in my job. I enjoy the fact that I can print reports for different cost. I like having access to the support team at anytime I needed them. I am thankful for the availability of being able to communicate with the support team about any immediate issues or problems I may be having. I find it very helpful in having live chat and the tutorials available to access at any time I need them. No matter how big or how small my problems are they are very professional and knowledgeable. I like that I can print the transcript to keep for future use should I run into the same problem and forgot what I had done the first time. I like the fact that I can print a report halfway through the month that allows me to see where I am with my monthly billing and productivity and it allows me to print case history which is helpful when I have to prepare an Attorney Fee Affidavit. The new features for notes are so helpful here when a client calls I can open their case and put phone conversations and print the notes for the attorney. My job is all about paper trail. I had a professor in college who said it is not what you say but what you write.

Pluspunten:

Very user friendly software . When I first started with the firm a co-worker showed me how to maneuver in bill4Time. Then she set me on my own. If I found myself not sure about what I was doing I would either review the tutorial or contact bill4Time's support team either by phone or live chat. The support team has always been very helpful and knowledgeable in the software. There has not been one problem that has gone unresolved with the support team. They are very diligent with getting back with you if they have to research an issue or a problem I may be having.

Minpunten:

I would not say I like any thing least about this software. I am looking forward to the ability to be able to track consult fees. I am looking forward to a new tab that has consultations which will allow you to put the client into the system and the amount of the consult fee. This would eliminate me having to keep track of two Conflict of interest list.

Mac user

Opmerkingen: Excellent.

Pluspunten:

Works with Mac. Easy to setup and use. Works well with remote timekeepers. Never had an error or problem with this billing software after 5+ years. Great customer service to answer questions about features.

Minpunten:

Nothing. Works great. No problems to report.

I have loved Bill4Time since 2009!

Opmerkingen: I get my billind done very fast compared to how long it would take me to do it manually. It is also great to keep track of my productivity.

Pluspunten:

It is easy to keep track of billable time, especially with the desktop widget.

Minpunten:

Things have to be entered in a certain order on the widget. Otherwise they get erased. This is a hassle since my short term memory is not that good. I would like to be able to enter data on the widget in any order. I have always had a hard time with the accounting reports. They are not friendly to non accountants. I just want to know who owes me what and since when. I still don't know how to do that after 11 years of being your client.

Great Billing Software

Pluspunten:

Setting up clients and matters is very simple to do, and it requires minimal steps and provides maximum flexibility. The time and expense entry, reporting, invoicing, and accounting features are all easy to use. It also includes a conflicts check feature which searches across multiple fields so is comprehensive. The simplicity and flexibility of the software is what we love. Customer and technical support is exceptional.

Minpunten:

There are no "cons" to the software that we have experienced.

Loving Bill4Time

Opmerkingen: Bill4Time has been a seamless transition for us. We are a law firm and use the software daily to track our time and for administrative and accounting functions. The reports are excellent to keep track of expenses, invoices, the trust account, etc. Customer support helped me figure out which features our firm needs and now I'm a whiz at Bill4Time.

Pluspunten:

The best thing about this software is the customer support. All of the features are here -- accounting, invoicing, timekeeping, reports -- and the customer support helps us figure out how to use it for our needs.

Minpunten:

I cannot think of any improvements that are needed

A great billing program

Opmerkingen: I have been using bill for time for several years now. I would not continue to use it if it was not a great program to use.

Pluspunten:

I tried two or three different programs before finally deciding on Bill for time. It is very easy to learn for my staff . It's very professional looking. You can pull all the reports you need.I think what I love the best about it is being able to write a note copy and put it in the billing section and getting it all done at one step.

Minpunten:

I guess the least thing I like about the program is on the notes I would like to be able to pull up all the notes on one client and print them all out at one time.

Cost - benefit best alternative

Excellent Product

Opmerkingen: Bill4Time customer service is excellent. I love their chat feature and it is really important. Anytime I have a question about a client's bill, I can get it sorted out in less than 10 minutes. It is so easy.

Pluspunten:

This software is extremely easy to use and gets better every year. I use it for everything with my law firm. The billing is extremely easy and it takes me only about 45 minutes to do all of my billing each month. Other firms take days and have an employee just to manage the billing. I also like the tasks functions.

Minpunten:

Nothing. I really like this product in full.

Intuitive and accessible

Opmerkingen: Contemporaneous billing records are a must for lawyers - this makes it super easy to record time no matter where you are, and reports are also easy to get and distribute and, where necessary, correct.

Pluspunten:

The software is easy to follow and figure out, very user friendly. With both a web-version and an app, it's super easy to keep up to date on your billing no matter where you are.

Minpunten:

The desktop version is/was buggy about a year ago - I switched to the web version and have had no trouble, so that may have been fixed since that time.

Project Management Software

Opmerkingen: As I stated, tracking client projects time and expenses is a snap, also report running is simple and quick. Summaries of all types are easy to determine and obtain reports for, we just love it!

Pluspunten:

The ease of data entry is second to none. We have been users of Bill4Time for more than 8 years now and honestly we are so grateful to have found this software. It makes our project management seamless. Reports are a click of a button to manage project time and expenses.

Minpunten:

I can't think of a single issue that have had. If problems are there, I don't know about them.

Bill4Time is worth your time

Opmerkingen: I searched for a duel timekeeping and accounting software for almost a year before I settled on Bill4Time. It is the only one I found that did both well. Avoiding the time it takes to move timekeeping records into an accounting program every month is a fantastic feature!

Pluspunten:

This software is fantastic! It's affordable and the support is the best I've ever had from any company. It is intuitive and is easy to figure out if you've made an error anywhere in your accounting.

Minpunten:

There is a bit of a learning curve to the invoicing section but once it's set up you'll be grateful.

There are a few glitches when entering whole batches of entries that need to be addressed. For example, some settings don't always transfer through to the next row and it ends up costing valuable time having to go back and change settings on each entry within the batch.

I have used Bill4Time since I started my solo law practice 3 years ago. It has all the features I need for maintaining my time records, creating invoices and monitoring my accounts receivable and receipts. I set everything up on my own and have managed to easily use it with little need for support. And it is a great value!

Occasionally it takes a minute to catch up on the mobile device. I do have trouble getting invoicing to go smoothly. There are a lot of variables and a set system sequence to arrive at getting the payments applied to the right matter and getting the invoice finalized. The intuitiveness is there, but there is quite a lot to be intuitive about- many settings.

Opmerkingen: the support was terrible - but we rarely needed it. The platform went down on occasion - but it was rare.

this software was straight forward and functional - no fancy bells and whistles but it had the basics and worked well for a remote staff and multiple offices

it was missing tasks/workflows. That was the only thing missing - overall the best software I have seen for the price - by far
