They have made enhancements thru the years and continue to get things done to make our system more user friendly by adapting to change and updated enhancements.
You guys should upgrade to Crystal Report or something else so we can create our own reports. The delay in reporting and cost is a major road block for us.

the best part of this software is being able to customize and tailor it to my needs I can also do so for any and all users under my licence!
If you are not in Accounting, it can be challenging... but learning it has been relatively easy
Our System Choice - both then (2014) and now (2022)
Opmerkingen: The system is very efficient in most things....but the people/support has really been the reason for our longevity. Those we have dealt with - Mark, Jessica, Dave, Laura, Thomas, Sohrob, etc. are second to none.
Dependability. Functionality allows quick updates to carrier files, vendor, customer, and operations. Interfaces with the railroads for EDI, tracing allow for reduced needs to bounce from one site to another. System allows customer access, carrier access. Screens are easy to populate/logical, making operation and training of users easy. Overview screens allow users to easily see dropped equipment, items incomplete for the day, pickups/deliveries that are running behind/failed. Great dispatch tools.
Rate Engine is somewhat lagging compared to other technology available - less interactive than it could be (examples: with templates, quotes, rate updates, service plan such as R-R, D-R/R-D, D-D and Should be able to pull in LOUP and CSX Critical door to door pricing to sit under OTR/Rate Index). Operations screens do not make per diem, equipment availabity, and train slots easy/requires outside site interaction. (i.e. should allow for gate reservations and BLUME interaction for equipment reservation and per diem/charges. Gate reservations are difficult to manage/note for busy operations centers and have no allotted field in the operations screens) Reports menu - simple query or "external" links. W(i.e. would be beneficial to have a reports links page. Also should be able to tweak tracing report/auto reports at a site level, rather than contacting Envase staff to edit those auto reports that get emailed.
EDI has been a great tool and cost savings. Customers are now requiring information provided to them within a very small window and this is the only way to accomplish it. Sending information to customers via EDI is not only more timely but less costly vs the cost of a person updating a customer's web portal.
Rail trace has been very inconsistent and not as supported as it was in the past. It is even more critical in today's environment but less reliable.
GTG Software Review
Opmerkingen: The benefits far outweigh the cons for us. The ability to continue to make improvements/enhancements to make the end users experience better is a plus. Added functionality is key and their staff makes suggestions based on their knowledge of your business and their product to make the best choices. They took the time to learn what we do which was a big plus in the original development. Their staff is wonderful to work with!
The big sell for me was their willingness to adapt their platform to fit our operational needs. They have made enhancements thru the years and continue to get things done to make our system more user friendly by adapting to change and updated enhancements.
The one big thing for our company is the accounting package, it is a bit outdated and we opted not to use it. DatNet reporting would benefit the end user if they offered some additional training or maybe a class once a month to continue teaching on better ways to use for reporting.
TMS Software for Intermodal Drayage
Opmerkingen: Our overall experience with Envase is very good and seems to be improving.
We like the board visibility, the ease of use, our collaboration with Envase when we need wish list items designed.
Simple reporting requests used to be a big con but that has improved with new programs that are now available. Other cons would be little tweekie issues that arise from time to time such as our customer interface not showing paperwork and tracing programs that get changed by the railroad take time to repair.
Best Intermodal TMS on the market!
Moving to Envase was one of the best decisions that we made. Been using this software since 2008.
Completely changed our operations for the better. Helped us stand out from our competitors. You wont find a better team to work with.
Envase knows our industry. They use their in depth knowledge to continuously improve and stay ahead of competition. Does everything we need it to and often we get surprised with new features that go above and beyond expectations.
Worried that it will get too large or too corporate and we will lose our ability to make changes. Could use a refreshed look with better ability to size windows.
GTG Evnase experience

Envase GTG system is very intuitive and user friendly. The implementation and development staff are very knowledgeable and receptive to new ideas. They are the most accessible software group I have ever worked with and have a genuine concern that our needs are met. Jessica/Amanda and group are highly solution driven.
Sometimes requires enhancements to meet our specific needs for a drayage carrier. We are always provided with solutions or alternatives when needed.
Envase - Profit Tools

The best aspect of Profit Tools has to be their highly customizable Quick View screens and Search functions.
No support for internal report writing. IT staff cannot create our own .psr reports. You guys should upgrade to Crystal Report or something else so we can create our own reports. The delay in reporting and cost is a major road block for us.

I think it really helps trac all of our containers and really point out our margins as well. Once you start growing you lose a lot of control. So this really helped me get more control on my accounting and dispatch.

APL's overall experience has been great. Mostly due to the customer service that we receive .
Example - A new requirement came out from the Mexican government (Carte Porte) and GTG has worked closely with us problem solving and providing solutions.

Excellent software program and customer service
Opmerkingen: The customer service is excellent. I can send a message and they respond within minutes and it always gets resolved.
We have used this software for over 10 years. Everything from dispatch to accounting is very easy to use. It works great with Quickbooks. The reports are endless and now that we are online we can work from anywhere.
There honestly has not been anything that we have found that we do not like.
