Easy to use and comprehensive

Pluspunten:

I liked the idea that I could add it to my web page easily and that I could customise it. I could set up custom form fields for users to enter data before they uploaded their files. This was a critical requirement for us and it was one that Filemail did very well. Filemail can also be set up to download files as they arrive without the user having to initiate the download. As a result, by the time the download is required, it is already on our server.

Minpunten:

No negative aspects at all. It works seemlessly.

Fast, Reliable and cheap!

Pluspunten:

I love that filmail is cheap and reliable. Every time I need to sent a large file, i know i can trust filemail.

Minpunten:

Download speed for the receiving part could be faster, but is acceptable.

It’s a bit complicated as a non programmer or computer minded individual - as me, to implement it on my website.

Decent price for good features

Opmerkingen: We use this service on an almost daily basis for various needs involving external parties (festivals, post houses, distributors etc), often times for 100-200 GB sized. We tend to use other services (WeTransfer/Google Drive) for smaller packages or ones that don't really require authentication, but for most uses FileMail is our best option. After a careful market research, we found its features meet most of our needs, incomparable to similarly priced services.

Pluspunten:

- No limit on file sizes - a decent Windows desktop app with (optional) auto-download feature (this to me is the most important feature) - ability to control/edit all sent items (add/delete files, change expiry date etc) - notification when item is downloaded - decent and flexible pricing (price is set in 1 TB increments, which means you can add or remove storage at will) - good storage management features (search/filter etc)

Minpunten:

- no local servers around Israel (which means downloads are sometimes very slow) - cannot login from more than 1 Windows desktop clients (once someone logs in from another computer, except for via website, instances in other computers are automatically disconnected). - no dark mode - UI is not great in web and desktop client, but is still decent.

Filemail is a great service

Pluspunten:

The ease of use. Price point is great as well as the customer service but I never really have to use as service is fantastic

I love the program. It's pretty amazing.

Opmerkingen: I like it. I'd like a little more developement, more features. But overall, it does a good job sending files without clogging my or others email box.

Pluspunten:

Very easy to use. Works seamlessly with Outlook 365 desktop. I love the alerts, permeant access to files.

Minpunten:

When sending to multiple persons, it doesn't allow replies to to inlcude all persons. Also, when compared to dropbox and amount of storage, the cost is rather pricey. With compared to other products similar, it's pricing is ok, but not super great.

Great Software for Large File Transfer Management

Always improve on speed

Is reability, in 5 years we have only 3 or 4 fails. The security, the reports of downloads, where and when it occurred. The only problem sometimes is its velocity, I don’t know if this is because overload on its servers or the Internet traffic because we always try to have a realiable speed.

Minpunten:

The upload speed is what we most liked to see improved.

Great value for great money!

Opmerkingen: In my three years experience with Filemail, I would recommend it to everyone, especially in NGO/culture industry, as it's a perfect equivalent for much more expensive data transfer solutions!

Pluspunten:

Ease of use and uploading via web browser are perfect in our environment.

Minpunten:

Sometimes transfer speed is dropping a bit, but it's not a huge issue.

I've looked around and I continue to rely on FileMail almost daily

Opmerkingen: I transfer files to clients on a daily or weekly basis and have never had a client complain or fail to download the files.

Pluspunten:

Super-easy to use, a great value and is very reliable. The support via chat is very prompt and professional. The native Mac app is very good and has been a joy to use. Also, I love being able to pause uploads when it's convenient for me.

Minpunten:

I have no problems with FileMail. The app received some updates that fixed a few bugs ( I don't recall what the bugs were).

Once there was some downtime with the site (only once in 5 years). Download link is too long.

The price is unbeatable considering the innumerable potentials of filemail in comparison to its rivals.

sometimes, on certain systems, upload and download speeds seem limited. but it probably depends on other factors not attributable to filemail which in general is fabulous.

Filemail in music/video production

Pluspunten:

Large file sizes are sent easily and quickly to artists at the end of the recording session. They download later, and the job is finished.

Minpunten:

The contact list doesn't seem to integrate with my gmail contacts.

Sometimes download times are very long, and the recipient needs to download the desktop app for it to work better.

Sweet, Simple and Swift

Opmerkingen: Filemail was a game changer for our company's needs. We often convert large video files (basically commercials) to the DCP format for advertisers who want to screen their content in movie theaters. Previously we used flash drives to send the converted videos. But now we use Filemail, which is much faster and much more efficient.

Pluspunten:

This software is super easy to use and makes sending large files (in our case, converted DCP packages for cinema exhibition) simple and fast.

Minpunten:

Nothing really seems to be a "con" in our book. We're happy with the product as is.
