Perfect solution for easy to manage signage

Pluspunten:

Coming from a Windows-based setup with Powerpoint-slides that never autoplayed the way they were supposed to and retired a lot of hands on, Yodeck was a real blessing for our lobby. Running on Raspberry PI was no issues, and the whole setup was done in less than 30 minutes.We can quickly edit our signage, set up layouts that work with our corporate branding, and also use widgets to display news and weather to our visitors. Compared to other systems, I must say that this is a very potent solution that fit our small business perfectly. Scaling it up would be no issue since the management interface is very sleek.

Minpunten:

There is a slight learning curve to the layout designing which might scare a casual user. However, in cases where we felt that we couldn't produce what we required in Yodeck we simply create the slide in Photoshop and upload that and push it to our players, which works very well.

Great easy to use signage system

Opmerkingen: Very fast learning curve - much easier to use and deploy than other digital signage solutions we have used in the past (Brightsign)

Pluspunten:

Love the easy web interface, and quick setup of many types of player hardware.We use custom HTML web widgets to display live data coming from our systems, which is a huge time saver when creating signage for large events.

Minpunten:

The ability to be able to have transparent webpages that utilise chromium features would be a huge improvement. Better handling of video streams and transitions between movie files would be a bonus

Yodeck! The next best thing in Digital Signage!!

Opmerkingen: LOVE IT! I have been from SignageLive, to Optisign and now Yodeck....I am definitely going to be buying a subscription for my multiple stores!

Knowing the customers will always pick the company that treats them right. I previously bought a Raspberry Pi Player with Optisign and I spent a fortune....I wish I had know about this I would have just subscribed for the year! That is definitely a PLUS!

So easy a caveman could do it.

Opmerkingen: Simple to setup. I had an old raspberry pi computer lying around, and was able to put it to good use displaying content for our company to help keep the team up to date on their KPIs and team meetings throughout the month. Their tech support on the few instances I needed help were quick to respond, and helped me accomplish what I was looking to.

Pluspunten:

Simple to setup. Easy to create custom layouts, and deploy them to any devices I have setup on the account.

Minpunten:

Web scripting because it's out of my realm. (to yodecks credit their tech support was able to get things working for me!) Wish list item, probably a dream really, would be a web page script editor that worked as effortlessly as the rest of the yodeck website, something that allows the script illiterate to click to create actions on webpages they would like displayed on their decks. One can dream.

A speedy installation everytime.

Opmerkingen: Effortless from start to finish. From the moment I wanted to make a quick demo, to the most recent display installation, I've not had a single issue. The software works as I want it to, and because of the simplicity of the interface, I know my colleagues will have no issue filling in for me if I'm away.

Pluspunten:

It took me less that 10 minutes to download the Yodeck OS image, load it onto an SD card, and get it showing our ads. This speed and ease of setup has swayed me completely, no other platform has wowed me with their process.

Minpunten:

The colour. Orange.In truth, the features and processes are exactly what I need them to be. I dont even mind paying the prices.

Best option for those that want to use digital signage but do not want to spend a bunch of money.

Opmerkingen: So far I am really enjoying Yodeck and the abilities that it provides. With the custom HTML widgets and web scripting, it is hard to imagine a situation with digital signage that Yodeck would not be able to accommodate.

Pluspunten:

The Yodeck application is easy to use once you get familiar with the functionality. My favorite part is the ability to create a playlist of layouts! This provides full control over what is being presented and how.

Minpunten:

When using Yodeck to access and display data, it can be a little difficult to setup those connections, and if the data resides on a platform that requires MFA it may require additional steps or workarounds to achieve the desired goal.

Just what i need

Opmerkingen: my overall experience with Yodeck has been just what I needed! Seriously, it's been a game changer. Sure, there are times when I might need to pay a little extra for additional screens, but you know what? It's totally worth it. I've looked around, and I genuinely believe it's the best solution out there right now.Yodeck has really stepped up to the plate, providing an awesome digital signature app for my Raspberry Pi. It's easy to set up and use, and it's been a breeze to work with. Honestly, I'm super pleased with Yodeck and I can't imagine going back to anything else. It's just fantastic!

Pluspunten:

I absolutely love Yodeck on my Raspberry Pi! You know what's the best part? It's super budget-friendly, like, it's got this fantastic free option that I've been using, and it's just incredible. I mean, who doesn't love a good bargain, am I right? Not only do I get to enjoy all the benefits of a digital signature app, but I'm doing it practically for nada, zilch, zip! It's such a cool solution, and I'm just super stoked about it.

Minpunten:

as much as I love Yodeck, if I had to point out one little thing that I liked the least, I'd say it's probably the user experience (UX) that could use a bit of work. I mean, it's not terrible or anything, but there's always room for improvement, right? With a little extra polish on the UX, Yodeck would be, like, next-level amazing! But hey, considering all the other fantastic features and the fact that it's free, I'm not gonna let this small hiccup bother me too much. It's still pretty rad overall!

Digital signage for large secondary school

Opmerkingen: Support is excellent, always prompt and friendly.

Pluspunten:

All cloud based to simple to update and sync to players. We've replaced our entire digital signage screens with TVs running Yodecks behind them. We've also managed to create one incorporated with a free to air setup TV box so staff can enjoy TV whilst we overlay important messages. Around the school site we use them to display messages for students, live feeds from Twitter, the weather, time and news. Very powerful and very easy to use and manage.

Minpunten:

Nothing. Every works well for us. Plenty of guides online helping if you get stuck too.

IT Support

Opmerkingen: So far have had a great experience customer support has been very responsive and easy to implement. Hardware was received within 7 days from purchase.

Pluspunten:

Easy deployment and hardware versatility.

Minpunten:

A drag and drop feature with the media library would be instead of the select and move. Nice to have but just as easy to move and relocate media. Also ran into an issue with PowerBi widget and was only to work around by publishing reports as an application and displaying as an application through powerbi.

Easy to use digital signage solution for Raspberry PI

Opmerkingen: We use Yodeck as an information system in a public high school cafeteria. Students are presented with PSA images, lunch menus, sports schedules, weather reports and a synchronized clock. The system runs 24 hours a day has has done so without error for more than a year now.

Pluspunten:

Coming from Samsung Magicinfo, Yodeck was far superior in almost every aspect. Wide varieties of media are playable as part of the slide deck, including PDF, images, videos and remote HTML. Our screen sat dead waiting for a solution before we found Yodeck.

Minpunten:

The software does require a connection to the home server to operate, would be nice to have a fully offline mode. I haven't had a chance to test how the system would work in a fully offline environment.

Simple, effective, and scalable

Opmerkingen: I've used Yodeck for several weeks now (not months) and have built out templates for most of our screens. It has given me a good look at the limitations (and there are a few), but I have found it overall very easy to use and the support is fantastic (and FAST to respond).

Pluspunten:

We have about 15 screens in 4 locations and need an easy way to administrate them all without requiring a dedicated PC at each screen. We checked out several options and Yodeck's pricing and interface seemed best for our needs.

Minpunten:

I wish a few features that are pending were already in place (layouts within playlists, for instance).

Fantastic Solution for Video Displays at our C-Store Chain

Opmerkingen: We have been quite happy with YoDeck. They have been quite responsive when we had questions, and were a huge help as we worked to set up our first store with 15 monitors and 15 Raspberry Pi units. We are overall very pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

Pluspunten:

The ease and speed of updating our content at will is the best part about YoDeck and our Raspberry Pi video units. I can update from almost anywhere...can even do most content updates from my phone.

Minpunten:

We had sought a solution that would allow us to sync 10 - 15 monitors in our stores. Unfortunately the only way to get that right now is a system that is way out of our budget for the size stores that we have. YoDeck and Raspberry Pi video units were as close as we could get - though they don't sync up as of yet - they were well within our budget.

Opmerkingen: Yodeck solved our need to keep the team updated in a easy way. The municipality in which I work, has a hich cost, heavy and extremely low intuitive system for handling information onscreen. So when I discovered Yodeck, I was thrilled. It solved all of our needs, and the one lisence I needed, was free. I installed it on an old Raspberry PI, and it works like a charm. Now it work as a center for information in our office of about 30 employees. Except that I have to take a clean install of the system every 2-3 month, it works as a charm. So we are excited.

Pluspunten:

It's just GREAT! It solved all of our problems, for free.

Minpunten:

I have yet to discover any cons... The only problem is that I have to take a clean install of my OLD Raspberry PI every 2-3 month. But I reccon this is the PIs fault, not the system.

Solid product at a great price point

Opmerkingen: This has allowed us to display content for both employees and customers to learn more about a product or event. It is a huge benefit to be able to schedule in advanced to start a slide and then have it automatically disabled.

Pluspunten:

They made it extremely easy to setup and get access to templates or create your own content. Their support documentation is well written and easy to follow. I had issues when we had a power outage and the software crashed. They give you a few steps on putting the image on a usb and within 10 minutes we were up and running since the settings don't change.

Minpunten:

The only con I feel is creating custom content can be difficult. I am biased since I use Adobe products, but I do wish there was a way to create tables easier and be able to use a template for every area. It seems to limit to where you can schedule the custom template slide but now add it right into the playlist.

Opmerkingen: We are Yodeck for roster and student/staff information displays flawlessly for almost 4 years now.

Pluspunten:

- Value for money: tried different, much more expensive solutions, Yodeck beats 'em all! - Use any Raspberry Pi as a player, even 4K display resolutions (using Pi 4), free players for all screens when using annual subscription. - Very intuitive to set up and use. When ordering with player you can setup in advance, just connect the player to your screen and you are all set! Plug & Play! - Cloud based and central management from any device with internet connection.

Minpunten:

No support for dutch language. No problem for me personally but some users would like this.

Digital signeage made easy

Opmerkingen: With Yodeck we can not only entertain and inform our customers in the waiting areas, but also have the opportunity to provide this service for our customers. Thanks to the highly scalable structure of the system, not only can small individual solutions be created, but customers with multiple locations and company departments can also be wonderfully supplied. We are currently working on connecting the shops of several petrol stations to our system built with Yodeck. The test operations for this are already running extremely promisingly.

Pluspunten:

The fact that each individual display can be provided with individual content or combined into groups and locations ensures that a wide range of solutions can be implemented. The schedules and playlists are a particularly powerful tool for delivering the right content to the right place at the right time. With yodeck this is solved much more efficiently than we know from other systems. User roles and work areas make it possible for technically less experienced people to provide content for the displays without jeopardizing the security and functionality of the entire system. Anyone who knows other solutions knows that this cannot be taken for granted. We are happy to now not only be able to use the various possibilities ourselves, but also to have found an extremely interesting new product for our customers.

Minpunten:

In the beginning, some processes were much more complex, not clearly explained, poorly labeled or misleadingly translated. In addition, some functions that were important to us were missing. However, since the software is continuously being improved, these problems could gradually be resolved, so that Yodeck has now become a powerful tool at a fair price that flexibly adapts to the needs of the users. For digital menu boards, we would like to be able to show and hide content in an animated manner and to move it across the screen with keyframes, a timeline or such.

Yodeck digital noticeboard management software

Opmerkingen: Yodeck has enabled us to further the usefulness of our existing digital noticeboards by utilising their extensive range of widgets. The screens are now true information points displaying a variety of media.

Pluspunten:

At our community centre we have been using a basic photo slideshow app to convert smart tvs into digital noticeboards. It worked but was very basic - limited to displaying jpgs that we needed to manually rotate to display on a portrait orientated screen.Yodeck has been a big step up as far as possibilities for our screens. We now have the option to display a whats on calendar, video, livestream, weather and more.I particularly like the clean, uncluttered and intuitive dashboard which manages the screens. Yodeck has excellent video and livestream support that was lacking from some of the other digital noticeboard apps we tested. Technical support has also been particularly good. Highly recommended.

Minpunten:

Lack of a compatible Android app for smart TVs. An android app would've have simplified the upgrade for us since we use Android compatible smart TVs, but the Yodeck player has been an acceptable alternative to an app.

Blair House Community Bulletin Board

Opmerkingen: At the age of 70 my age and IQ I was able to create a system that improves so many people's lives with a easy learning curve for free and still have the energy engagement page displayed.

Pluspunten:

I have a blog for the Blair House a seniors residence in Ottawa Ontario Canada and this Yodeck software has given me the ability to display in real time The bus schedule for our bus stops ( 4 in total ), plus the weather, Emergency warnings system, Our Community Events Calendar, Covid 19 status all edited from my home pc or cell phone. In Canada we are a bilingual country English and French so all the webpages have to be repeated in both languages. easy as can be. The building is an Ottawa Community Housing building with an energy engagement program that consists of a monitor in the lobby that informs tenants of how much energy is being used ( electricity and gas) and compares it with other similar buildings . Now the information is of some value to the tenants as they do not have to wait outside in the rain or cold to catch a bus. I was somewhat concerned about the new Raspberry Pi 4 that replaced the Pi 3 as to how much work it would be to upgrade it involved 8 letters and a hyphen WOW works fine! This is by far one of the best Raspberry projects that I have come across thumbs up.

In the Ottawa Community Housing building we have a large percentage of people that do not speak either of Our official languages and it would be nice to incorporate Google Translate into this platform. I would like to see a camera on the raspberry Pi that could scan a QR code that when displayed would translate to the appropriate language. It is very important to try to create a hands free environment in this time of Covid.

Yodeck - All you need for digital signage

Pluspunten:

I was searching for a digital signage in order to project trailer and show scheduler for our cinema. Yodeck was the optimal solution. Based on Raspberry Pi, cheap hardware that you can manage as you want, Yodeck gives you full remote configuration of you system: you can upload any media (audio/video/image) or you can also link directly youtube videos or webpages! What I most liked is the possibility to create diffent playlist, mixing layouts with different kind of media, and scheduling the playlist whenever I want, switching automatically playlist in various time of the day. The update from the portal is very simple and the monitor will syncronize with the contents scheduled in very short time. Very nice also the alerts that notice you that you monitor is offline, so you can check the status with very short downtime. The installation is very easy: yodeck gives you the os image for the raspberry: the only thing you have to do is install the image and follow the instructions. So, I am very satisfied with this solution (we have been using it for more than 3 years and we never had problems) and I advice it for who need a simple but powerfull system for digital signage.

Maybe is not very intuitive the part about making a layout on the screen and then checking how it comes on the monitor, but with but with a few attempts everybody will manage to configure all

Lots of Options and Very Affordable

Opmerkingen: I'm so glad that I decided to use Yodeck for my media advertising. I have a monitor in our lobby and one in our sauna room, so clients can learn about new services, special deals and events. Super efficient. I am saving so much money compared to what I was using before and getting so much more for my $$$.

Pluspunten:

I love that Yodeck let's you customize your playlist with your photos, video's and even has widgets for social media including Facebook and Instagram. It's easy to download files into your account and they also have their own layouts that you can use to customize and create what ever you want.

Minpunten:

It did take me a little time to figure out the scheduling process. Making a playlist was a breeze, scheduling it to run was a little more involved, especially if you are running multiple playlists on one media screen. Might just be me.
